Smell Blood In Nose Novels & Stories

Suddenly, my head turned towards the door when my nose caught an unfamiliar scent coming just outside the door. Adrenaline coursed through me as I braced myself for whatever was going to happen next. This scent. Its smell was like that of a rotten carcass, forcing me to raise my hands in front of my face so I could pinch my nose quickly before the unpleasant smell fills my nose. Because if that happens, I might not be able to allow myself to breathe anymore unless the scent completely dissipates in the air.

Trouble is not anosmic as you would think. Trouble stinks, with a fetid aroma like sulphur roasting a corpse. My nose has been trained to seek it out since the day a lorry tried to put its metal rib cage straight through Mum and I, since the day i woke up in n a hospital bed with an inferno in my lungs and lead flowing in my veins.

I yelled with more tears streaming down my cheeks. Suddenly, I felt some liquid trickle down my nose while the smell of blood became thick in air. I look up at Alex and Lucas, their eyes widen for a second before worry and panic flashes in their eyes. I take my hand to my nose and let my fingers touch the liquid before bringing them in front of my eyes. I’m greeted by the sight of blood and cringe. I hate it but well it’s not that bad. “Dammit, you are bleeding, Sara.” Lucas shouts while Alex nods.

NOAH'S POV Before I even opened my eyes, I smelled the metallic tang of blood; the smell was strong and filled my senses with a dreadful urgency. My body felt like lead, my head pounded with every heartbeat, and I was throbbing with sickness, yet the smell woke me up. Something was not right. The sickness had dimmed my senses, but there was something unique about the scent. The smell, that indisputable scent, lifted me out of the fog of misery even though the illness was weighing me down. It was the blood of Ciara.

* *Very good, now what can you smell? I sniffed into my nose, at first it was just the smell of the dirt and forest air, but as I continued to sniff I could start to make out different scents. *I can smell the feathers of the birds and the there’s a creek to the right* *What else?* *I can smell you and I can smell Smith* *Who can’t smell Smith?* Cole chuckled through our flash *Shut it, keep going Zee* I sniffed hard at the air, sucking it in through my nostrils. A foul metallic scent hit me. Kind of like blood but different, not human and maybe rotten, off somehow.

When I lifted my head I was by the side of the road but then when I looked at my pants there were droplets of blood on them. The circuit in my head shut off as my nerves chilled to an icing temperature. I brought my finger to my nose and then back to my line of vision and there it was, blood from my nose! I’m bleeding.

But as I walked toward my mirror to check if I looked as terrible as I felt, I noticed something that made my blood run cold. There was blood dripping from my nose. I stared at my reflection in horror. The blood was bright red and flowing steadily down my face. I had never had a nosebleed like this before, especially not after one of these painful episodes. I quickly grabbed some tissues and cleaned myself up, trying to stop the bleeding. It took several minutes, but eventually the blood flow stopped. I looked at the bloody tissues in my hand and felt a wave of fear wash over me. What was happening to me? Were these episodes getting worse? And what did the nosebleed mean?

I took a deep breath and exhaled after a moment. I gulped and grabbed a tissue out of the tissue box lying on the coffee table. I blew my running nose. When I withdrew the tissue away from my nose, I found it red. Blood! I teared up all over again as I felt my heartbeats increasing at an unbelievable speed. Why is there blood in my snot? I jumped in fright when a stabbing sound echoed in the silent house. I was shaking in fear as I stumbled towards the kitchen holding my bleeding nose with the tissue to try and stop more blood from coming out but it was in vain.

The vase of flowers that sat on her bedside table had fallen, leaving water, petals, and shards of pottery scattered across the floor. And there, near the edge of the bed was a small puddle of blood. My breath caught in my throat. I walked over to the blood and crouched down, pressing my fingers into it. It was dry, crusted against the wood. But when I pinched it between my fingers, it burst with the smell of rust. Definitely blood. I sniffed the air as I stood, looking around again. Under the smell of smoke and blood, I smelled something else that I had missed before—something rancid and familiar.

My vision blurred for a second, but then, something warm trickled from my nose. I reached up instinctively, my fingers brushing against my face, and froze when I felt the wetness. My hand came away, and my eyes went wide as I saw the blood smeared across my fingers. It wasn’t just a trickle; it was coming from my nose, staining my skin. I tilted my head back, trying to stop the bleeding, my breath catching in my throat. The room seemed to spin for a moment, and my heart raced, fear gripping me like never before.
