This isn’t anywhere I know. But then something sharp struck her nose. A scent. Raw, heavy, impossible to ignore. Blood. Her heart skipped. She sniffed again, deeper this time. Her sharpened senses didn’t lie not anymore. It was faint but present. Beneath the herbs and firewood, she could smell blood… human blood. Humans.

I tried holding it in, but as the smell filled the room, it became unbearable. "What is wrong with me?" I thought to myself. "I need to go see a doctor soon." I dashed into the room in search of a nose mask and found one in my bag. I secured my nose with it and went back into the kitchen to finish the cooking. The nose mask didn't block the smell entirely, but it was manageable.

He said sniffling. I watched as Julian's nose flared as he smelled the blood finally. He quickly looked up and his eyes went wide. "It's not as bad as it looks baby, I'm okay." He quickly threw his hand over his mouth as he looked at me in horror. "Baby I'm okay. Seriously it's just a little bloody nose. Not my first and probably not my last." I said trying to reassure him. I've definitely had worse. "Look it already stopped bleeding." I said as I wiped it a couple more times.

The scent of blood fills the room, causing my nostrils to flare as I seek out the scent. Shoving Sabina to the side, I look around the room in search of where the scent of blood could be coming from. Sabina whimpers from behind me, drawing my attention to her direction. Blood flows from her stomach, coating her hands as she presses down on the wound that has blood flowing out of it like a river.

His eyes were watering. "M-Mommy... got nosebleeds." Shit. I smiled, taking a tissue and pressing it to my nose. Matt managed a small smile to reassure the child. "It's nothing to worry about. Sometimes, noses bleed for no reason at all. We just need to make sure it stops." Quillan sniffled, trying to hold back his own tears. "Will you be okay, Matt?" I gently pinched my nose at the base to stem the bleeding and tried to ignore the way the tissue continued to grow red and the taste of blood and ash in my mouth.

I noticed liquid coming out of my nose and took my hand to my nose to inspect it, but I ended up seeing blood all over my hand. Horrified, I pulled my clothes up and struggled to stop the bleeding with them. My nose is bleeding. I can't bleed; no, I shouldn't bleed. I shouldn't be bleeding—not here, not now, I thought as I desperately forced my clothes into my nose to stop the bleeding, staining my dress in the process. I don't even want to remember the last time I bled; I don't bleed. For me, it's taboo to bleed because it causes so many misfortunes, and I really don't want to be unfortunate today.

Rey Jhon slammed the bathroom door shut. He was trying his best not to breathe in the awful smell that seemed to crawl deep into his system. The stink was so strong and it was getting into his nerves, it felt like it was punching his nose again and again. He pinched his nose while grabbing the most expensive alcohol from his bag and he sprayed it all over the bathroom. He would rather waste his alcohol than to smell that disgusting odor.

Test After the servant left, Eden felt something flowing from her nose and stained the floor she was on with blood. The young mother's reflex immediately wiped her nose and she found so much blood flowing from her nostrils. With a bit of confusion and panic, Eden immediately pulled out a piece of tissue to wipe the blood that was dripping more and more from her nose. "Why do I get a nosebleed?" Eden wiped all the blood from her nosebleed which was quite a lot while leaning on the edge of the sink with a pale face. Faintly she then heard a noise coming from the living room and followed by Louise's scream from the second floor who shouted his daddy's name repeatedly.

The smell always came first. It was not soft or slow. It wasn't like flowers or food. It came sharp. Fast. Like it had been waiting. Like it had teeth. It was thick, wet and metallic. It was the kind of smell that crawled down your throat and stayed there. It was blood. That smell was always blood. Even years later, I could feel it. Taste it. Breathe it in. And no matter how hard I tried to bury it deep, that smell would always find a way back.

Helen rushed to get her best friend's blood pressure suppressing drugs. She dashed into the kitchen, got a glass cup of water and ran to her. Her best friend swallowed the drugs and gulped down the water. Helen sat beside her and made her best friend lay her head on her laps, rubbing her hair and tummy at intervals. "So high blood pressure can cause nose bleeding? I never heard of that." "The thing is, nose bleeding isn't really a symptom of high blood pressure." She explained. "But when you were bleeding from the nose, you told me to get you your blood pressure suppressing drugs that your blood pressure has increased. I don't understand what you are saying." Helen shifted a bit from her.
