Its red eyes dimmed, its movements slowing, and I felt it—the power surging through me, ancient and unstoppable, like a river breaking free.
I stopped right at its feet, staring up into its hollow face, and with one final word, the spell snapped shut.The creature let out a final, guttural screech, and then it was gone. Its body dissolved into a cloud of black smoke, curling into the air before vanishing completely.
