Mia and Jack observed her behavior and followed her gaze. Jack stood up and some type of teleport signal was passed between his and Lucas eyes. Jack turned back to Alizey and Mia and ruffled Mia's hair and Alizeys hijab earning death glares from them. "Doofus!" Alizey says while fixing her hijab.

Zara stood with a majestic, uncompromising stance. She stated, "We accept your terms," in a firm voice. "Prepare the ritual." With a nod, the emissary produced the crystal orb again. It started to hum with a low, resonant frequency when they put it on the table. With their hands hovering over the sphere, Zara and Kael took a step forward. The emissary chanted, "Repeat after me," while reciting the old spell. The orb's brightness intensified as Zara and Kael spoke, filling the room with a dazzling radiance.

She had returned my magic, which only meant the threat was all too real and all too powerful. Unexpectedly, Stella stiffened beside me as well. Her eyes glazed over entirely white, letting me know she was being gifted with a vision of her own. She began to yell, one that was so loud and gut wrenching that pierced the air, causing everyone to look our way. She was still trapped in her vision, shaking all over as tears streamed down her face.

With those words, Sebastian formed a hand seal with one hand, pointing toward the sky. His aura surged, and he said, "Open your eyes wide and see what a true Godly Thunder spell looks like!"

Telagus commanded, not taking his eyes from the group on the ground, and after a few more moments of waiting and not seeing his word followed, he repeated it once more while looking up, “What are you doing? Finish this…AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!” A black swirl engulfed them both, Telagus could be heard through the fog still screaming loudly in pain, it disappearing after a few seconds, revealing Telagus now kneeling gripping his head with gritted teeth and his eyes closed and Rex was still standing, his hands on his knees to support himself. “What the…what broke the spell?” Rex stammered, feeling a sudden rush of emotions all at once, ‘Fear, anger, confusion, love? What on earth is going on?’ he asked

He tried to avoid my gaze, but I could see through him, that he was lying, when it comes to telling lies, he is a bad liar. "Stop lying, I know you are sky, I remember you, stop acting, you are I know that, you are Sky and you remember me." The sky looks at me, his thoughts wondering, I don't know what he is thinking. She shrugged as though she hadn't just shared a secret of an extinct pack. “That’s heavy, I’m unsure how to process it but I still don't understand why the tattoo stings….” I swallowed nervously as I finally dropped my hand from my neck. “It does that because someone is casting a spell on you to harm you and it's bouncing back the ugly effects while the sting warns you of the attack” She said nonchalantly. “Fuck! So someone's been casting dangerous spells to harm me for weeks?” My heart started to race unusually. “Apparently, and for it to sting more than once, it means that those spells are damn strong” She looked unbothered but I knew it was just because of our argument.

I ask her as the office starts to spin like I’ve downed several bottles of whisky in rapid succession. “You need to be close to your mate without being close to your mate; it's not fair to your wolf or you, now you can be close to her without anyone ever knowing.” Starling gives me a small smile as she wipes her hands down her dress and pushes off the sofa. “One touch and the spell will take effect; sleep well.” She waves her fingers at me in a flirtatious wave while walking from the office. I wish I could say that cryptic words are new for Starling but she’s always been like this; she has a way of knowing what I need before even I do.
