As the stories got scarier, I noticed a few of the younger pack members huddling closer to their parents, seeking comfort and reassurance. Soon, it was my turn to share a story. Feeling the weight of the moment, I cleared my throat and began my tale. "In a small village, there was a haunted mansion. It was said that the spirit of a vengeful witch roamed the halls, seeking revenge on anyone who dared to enter her domain..." I let my imagination run wild, conjuring spine-chilling scenes and mysterious characters. The pack leaned in closer, their eyes wide with fascination, hanging onto every word I spoke. The suspenseful atmosphere made my heart race with excitement.

I whispered sharply, looking around the scenery. "Lily seriously Annabelle? Babe I don't think Annabelle growls." He chuckled. " Yes she does. I saw it in the recent movie they released." I respond afraid that it actually was the evil doll. "Whatever, it's a movie Lily, it's not real." He tried to ease my mind. " That's what you think, But there are some scary movies that are based on true stories if you must know." I claimed and gripped him tighter. The growling stopped and out came a dog who looked like it was starving. Shit mother of Jesus please save us from this beast. It was growling viciously, gaining on us. Luna picked up her scarf and put it on while looking around. The cold air strangely hit the girl's face. Max switched on his phone and started their live TikTok session. Max pointed the camera at his friends one by one. The audience began to enter the live room. Sean excitedly started the session, "Heyya, everyone! Welcome back to the CreepyHells Channel. Oh my god! You won't believe where we are now. Guess! Where are we?!"

Michael said, “Sakura told me we could play hide-and-seek, or we could tell scary stories.” Akira thought about it for a moment and then said, “You know what? How about we freshen up and change into our pajamas and then meet up in my room. Then we can tell each other scary stories. I know a lot of very scary Japanese ones.” Michael looked excited. “Really? Awesome.” Akira turned to Sakura and asked, “How about it?” Sakura nodded. “Sure, that sounds fun.” She turned to ask Mary and Katherine. “How about you two?”

After two days of high temperatures and intense boredom, he remembered the three books. Sam pulled out the one with the Mummy on the cover, because it looked the most innocuous. It was entitled the Ninth Pan Book of Horror Stories. He wasn’t the least bit prepared for what he found inside. The first three stories involved emasculation, murder and burning at the stake. In his fevered state Sam felt he was not only watching the characters’ suffering, he was experiencing it along with them. He flung the book at the wall and then hid it again, wishing he could burn it like Jinnot, the young girl in the third story who was burned alive.

Tess I find many things in this world scary: walking to the bathroom late at night when you don’t have a nightlight on, fake friends, the members of the Safir pack, and last, and probably my biggest fear, is the thought of spending eternity alone. Sue me for thinking that’s a terrible fate, but that is how I feel without lying to myself.
