Dinner is delicious. Adaline, Addy, as she likes to be called, is the head maid in the house. She has worked here for a long time and the stories she shares with me make me forget all about the horrific things that could’ve taken place just hours before. She only comes in three days a week now, which is why I haven’t seen her before. I wish she was here all the time. I enjoy her company so much, and not just because she saved me from a horrible situation.

Her and Elliot have been together for like two years now or some shit like that.” At that moment Adalina strolls into the kitchen wearing a figure-hugging black dress, a pair of black knee-high leather boots and a blue jean jacket. Her hair is straight; it reaches just below her ass. I love when her hair is straight it is so beautiful. Adalina did her makeup a little bolder than usual. The most eye-catching part is the bright red lipstick; it makes her perfect pouty lips look even more kissable. Holy fuck she looks beautiful.

Adeline’s POV I woke before the sun came out. The house was quiet in that soft way before morning really began. I lit the small lamp and set the checkered picnic mat on the table. Bread into a tin. Sliced apples brushed with lemon so they wouldn’t brown. Cheese wrapped tight in cloth. A jar of honey, two small knives, napkins, cups, and a clean blanket. I filled one flask with tea and another with sweet water. My hands moved fast; my head did not.

"You've gotta be fucking joking." I agreed with the bastard; that introduction was a joke. So, walked past my old man, locked eyes with Nikolai’s and smiled athim. "Adelina is not my stepsister," I whispered. I didn't mind how his brows dip, and I added: "She’s *mine*."

I can't help the tears spilling down my cheeks, "Adal, Alan, come here, his sister came to rescue us." Figures emerge from the bottom of the cell. They are tall, almost the size of Einar. They look a lot like my mother except that their hair is as black as mine. "Alanna, I introduce you to your brothers," she speaks, "this is Adal, he is the older of the two by fifteen minutes," he introduces me to the first one and I shake his hand, "and this is Alan, the youngest of my children," I also he shakes hands, although he is a little shyer.

Immediately she entered her room, the smell became intense. “Did something die here? Everywhere is smelling,” Adalyn muttered. Adalyn searched the whole room, but she couldn’t find the dead animal. She searched inside the book shelves, wardrobe and cabinets, yet, she couldn’t find the dead animal. “But, I can perceive the smell from this room; show your hideout…,” Adalyn thought. Adalyn lifted the bed and saw something that resembled a human’s head; she used her torchlight to aid her view.

A young woman who looked to be around age sixteen with coal black, waist-length hair opened the door. I smiled, “Hello, Eva. How are you?” Eva smiled, “It’s been a minute, Adele. I’m good. How are you? I heard you found your mate.” I smiled, “I’m doing well. Yes, I did. This is my mate, Sebastian.
