My eyes moved from her, back to Alpha Orion’s as I wondered what the hell was going on, and if he had figured out why we were here. “I’ll take that.” He said as he plucked my phone from my hand, and I took a step back from him, as it was clear the gig was up. I scowled, forcing the lump in my throat to not shatter before him at least. “You fucking killed my innocence!” Yelling, I pushed him back as well, returning the same resentful glare. I never imagined that a day would come where we both would hold nothing but crystal-clear hostility but that was what we call destiny. Circumstances change. “What difference is going to remain between me and you if you would repeat what I did?” He asked, inhaling to regain his posture. “Sometimes revenge is the only option, Alpha.” I whispered heartlessly, taking a step forward to challenge me.

Third person's POV The scene at the Frostfang Pack was a stark contrast to the Bloodmoon Pack's. Beta Valentine of the Frostfang Pack led Beata and others in pursuit of the returning troops. Their faces were etched with joy and excitement, so much so that tears streamed down their cheeks. Alpha Adelaide returned with honors, bringing back memorial plaques for Alpha Bentley and her brothers from the southern border. Though the Frostfang Pack's altar already housed plaques for the fallen, these battle-retrieved ones carried profound significance.

I saw some couples being very affectionate with one another. I realized, unlike humans, beast love is pure. Xander stopped in front of a cabin. A plump old lady approached us. She looked cute and she had this motherly figure with a kind smile. As soon as she came closer to us, she bowed her head at Xander, “Alpha, how can I help you?” she asked him. Wait? Alpha?
