“This can’t be true. Isn’t Charlene a poor student? How could she afford it?” “That’s right. This apartment must belong to Jacob. He drives an expensive car, and he dresses in luxury brands. Jacob, hurry up and explain!” Jacob pursed his lips as sweat covered his forehead. Meanwhile, Prissy nudged him anxiously. “Jacob! It’s clearly written on the document that you gave me the apartment. Why is he saying that it belongs to Charlene?! Tell me now!” I sneered at Prissy as she stomped her foot, and I slowly said, “Obviously, that deed is fake!”

“ It is ideal for you two lovebirds.” “We are not-“ “I can’t wait to see it.” Justin cut me off again. “We are not a couple. This apartment is for you not us.” I whispered to him. “Really?” He grinned slyly. I poked him in the ribs. The apartment was located in a nice, cozy, safe looking neighborhood. And Hannah was right it was perfect. It was new, large ,with two bedrooms, a large living room, kitchen and dining room. I checked out the plumbing, and wiring. They were in good condition.

"I just... I miss my room. My things. I want to be somewhere that feels like home." The three men exchanged glances, some silent communication passing between them. Finally, Lorenzo nodded. Chapter 30 April’s POV “Wow, this place is so cool.” Maria said, looking around the apartment mason had helped us move in to. He had wanted me to start living alone but I knew I couldn’t afford it yet, so I had to live with my friends who also needed a place to stay. Mason talked to one of his employees who had a friend with a low cost apartment building. The place had a light brown themed interior. The furniture was brown but the walls and curtains were lighter. The living area and kitchen were fairly small but bigger than those in Waters’ building. I chose the best bedroom which overlooked the city.

Axel explains. "What's an apartment?" "An apartment is a place or residence in a tall building like you saw earlier... It's like a house but close to other houses yet also quite comfortable and privacy is truly maintained," Axel explains as he leads Gwyneth to the front door and is immediately greeted by a maid. "Jane, please take two suitcases from my car and bring them to Gwyneth's room," he says. "Yes, Sir." Jane nods. Gwyneth turns and sees Jane opening the car trunk.

It was a spacious two bedroom located in an apartment building on the seventh floor. There were no pictures on the walls or any sort of decoration on the shelves. Even though there wasn't much inside, the entire place was tidy and expensively furnished.

It was directly over the deli, which the landlady also ran. Through the dingy hallway, I was now expecting the worst, but stepping into our new place was like entering the twenty-first century.

Her feelings were mixed, but for now, she had made her choice, and this place would be her home, for who knows how long. The apartment was called the Blue Lavender Apartments, a mid-range building located on the outskirts of the city, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, and even further from the spotlight. From the outside, the building looked like a remnant of a life that should have been abandoned long ago. The dull, gray-green walls, patches of peeling paint on the corners of the balconies, and dark windows in the unoccupied units seemed to stare blankly out at the deserted street below.
