I asked fiercely. Tears blurred my vision just before he turned around to walk away. He didn’t even turn back as he spoke. “To claim you as mine.” I gasped. “Anyone who touches you will be killed.” And now I’m here, dressed in his money, preparing to attend a gala with him tonight. Some dinner party. As if this attire, this party we're attending, can stem the threat from the dreaded cult hanging over my head. I swallow. The door opens. Chase walks inside, dressed in a coal black suit. Bow tie. Shoulder length blondish black locks held behind him in a ponytail. His beautiful facial hair, beards and all, perfectly trimmed.

She crawled to a certain button and pressed it… "I…I n- need your h- help" she gagged as blood flowed from the corners of her lips. Seeing this, Jean was about to go out to help her, but stopped when he saw another man wearing black clothes enter and stood by Nevena who extended her hand but the man withdrew his gun… With a blink of an eye, the mansion shook, as the bombs went off and there was nothing left but flames and ashes… …. "You see, sweetheart…I'm not the bad guy here?!" Chase said with a pout on his lips, while peeling an apple and looking at the beautiful creature before his eyes…

“It’s fine. Just be careful next time, this is Xavier's floor and I hate for you to run into him” I nodded, even though my chest tightened painfully at the mention of Xavier. I had just run into him, right now I pray he doesn't come out at that instant. Now in Henry's room. He pulled out a black shopping bag. “This is for you,” he said, smiling proudly. “For the party tomorrow. You’re going to look incredible, Sare-bear.” I smiled despite the chaos in my head. “Thanks, Henry. Really.” We hugged — quick, warm, grounding.

Chase refused to show his face. I texted him to stop lurking and come out already. He only laughed it off, said he wasn't going to do that, that the whole fun was in the mystery, and told me to just go home. I climbed into Nicholas's passenger seat, and the back-and-forth rolled on the whole drive. Chase made himself my LA guide, starting with a whole field manual on spotting the fuckboys out here, the gait, the lean, the way they materialize the moment a new girl lands.

The elders nodded but the fear remained in their eyes as they watched their King slowly slip away and the unholy monster begin to take his place. I mumbled out of surprise as I confirmed myself that he is indeed the owner of that laugh that I heard that day. I went in annoyance but then I was surprised when there were weird noises I heard. He's going out of my side and he started to run away. Why is he even running? I am not sure about that but then without even thinking I stood up immediately and ran after him. Why am I even running? I didn't let all the sides I tried to Chase him but then to my surprise there was a weird drop that is hidden in this part that I step on. "A… shit"

I had made my way through the forest, hoping to see her and Moe again, and now that she was here, I didn’t want to let her go. “There are a few things we need to talk about,” Bea said in a strange voice. I looked up at her and noticed her eyes had changed colour. They were no longer brown but a pale green. I pushed away and spotted her hair. A small section at her roots was sprouting raven black. Bea gave me a sad smile, revealing her longer and more prominent canines. “You’re a…” “Yes. And so is Moe… well, William.” I was confused. I stopped Lukas when I spotted him retreating to another room to give us space.
