Lies Behind Bars: The Hidden Life

Lies Behind Bars: The Hidden Life

"Boss, that woman is out of prison." Damien looked up from his table and took his glasses off his face. "She is out?" his voice came out rough. He cleared his throat and his assistant nodded his head. "Yes, she is out." "But she was given seven years, and she has only spent three," Damien said, and the boy in front of him nodded. "She got out for good behaviour and being a model inmate," Gray explained.

Claimed By My Ex’s Father

Claimed By My Ex’s Father

The coarse fabric of my neon-orange jumpsuit chafed against my neck with every movement, a constant reminder of the privilege I had so easily discarded. My fingers were covered in raw, stinging blisters that never had the chance to heal. For twenty-six years, my hands had held nothing heavier than a crystal glass of premium scotch or the leather steering wheel of an imported sports car. Today, my reality consisted of a plastic bucket and a twelve-hour shift moving heavy linen bundles for the state infrastructure network. "Hey, Hartley! Look at the central monitor above the guard tier!" an inmate named Miller shouted from the folding racks, letting out a low, appreciative whistle. "Your old m

STALKING THE BILLIONAIRE DEVIL

STALKING THE BILLIONAIRE DEVIL

"It wasn't my intention to stab him! Please take me to the hospital! Please." "Hey!" One of the inmates shouted. "Keep your voice down, girlie. This place is for people who have committed a crime. It isn't for the innocent. If you don't keep shut, I will shut it for you," the inmate threatened, meaning every single word. Ixora sniffled, tightening her palms around the bars. She rested her head on the bars, crying silently. "Xora!" she heard somebody call out her name. She immediately raised her head to see Nelly running inside.

Broken Night

Broken Night

The prison library was small and under-stocked, but to Janice, it had become a sanctuary, a refuge from the dullness and potential violence of her day-to-day life. The librarian, Norma Schelle, was a short, boyish woman in her mid-twenties, with thick, black-framed glasses and a short pixie style haircut. She was also the bright point in a staff of people who always acted like they'd rather strike an inmate than smile at them.

His Book club

His Book club

I called again, moving toward the door but I got no answer. This guy is not only a nerd, he is also weird and somehow crazy. I wonder how I was going to cope with him when I joined his book club. I grabbed my phone off the table and unlocked it. As the screen popped on, messages flooded in. Group chats messages , especially the ones I've muted for a while now. ‘Arian Smith, Orleans College Book Club President, Accused of Misusing Club Funds.’ I blinked, trying to wake myself from the dream. I scrolled down, read it again and it was still the same.

Man in women’s prison

Man in women’s prison

"Keep quiet!" Larry shouted as he rushed to the door and banged on it. "Men? A man?" A woman inside the cell shouted. "Yeah, that’s a man, an actual man." At this moment, the people inside the cell began to quiet down, and their demeanor was like a wolf staring at its prey. The third prison cell at this time was in shambles, inmate uniforms lying around. Many of the female inmates had no trace of clothing on them, and their bodies covered in scratches.

Sweet Dreams

Sweet Dreams

Not this slow, unwelcome pull that’s sitting heavy in my chest the moment his gaze settled on me. Not for someone like him. “It’s nothing.”I whisper out loud to the empty stall, it’s probably just a bizarre moment. An odd encounter. Within a week, his face will blur into the background, replaced by another injury, another inmate, and yet another story I won’t even bother myself with. They always do. The inmate in Cellblock C isn’t worth my fear. He’s just a man with controlled pain and dangerous eyes. And maybe an unforgettable face? Fuck. I’m doing it again.

I Never Regretted Leaving You

I Never Regretted Leaving You

"Jade, Dad couldn't protect you in the past. But now that Dad is back, it's impossible for those disreputable things to bully you anymore." He suddenly stood up and said, "Victoria and her daughter, I will take care of you. As for Nathan, I will take everything away from him, and then you can take revenge however you want." Thea, “..." "Oh." Prison. The prisoners received education in the library. For these highly intelligent criminals, most of the books they read were literature books that cleanse the soul or economics books related to their interests. Only No. 13, he sat gracefully in a wheelchair, with a psychology book resting on his lap.

i think the author needs to focus on finishing books rather than leaving lots of unfinished ones that leave your readers hanging and we do not want that. you would gain more followers and readers if you can concentrate on one story at a time and finish each book. more ongoing than completed books
SillyRabbit
This is one heck of a story. It has romance, betrayal, revenge, time travel, robots and tons of dramatic twists and turns. There are some translation mistakes here and there but overall, it’s well written.

Deal With The Devil

Deal With The Devil

This place isn’t protecting the outside world from him, instead, it’s protecting him from the outside world. His bed’s got extra pillows, there’s a sleek set of headphones on the table, and there’s even a small stack of books that look like they belong in a CEO’s library, not a prison cell. I frowned as I flipped the pages of the book. The title says, “How To Be A Millionaire”. I didn’t know he was such a nerd for life changing books. Is this how he got everything he has in the prison? I bet half of this stuff he stole from the other inmates.
