The Living And The Dead Book Beetlejuice 소설 & 이야기

"Don't worry, Mr. Prewett. Your grandfather's disease might be tricky to deal with, but I'll still cure him even at the expense of my own life." Once Leto was done speaking, he dug out a black bottle made of clay from his pocket. As soon as he uncorked the bottle, a seven-spotted beetle that was the size of a thumb crawled out of the bottle. The beetle was completely black. Its eyes glowed in a shade of eerie blue. It was also coated in dark green fluid, making it look extremely disgusting.

I didn't dare get too close to my gruesome corpse, yet I desperately wanted to hug the poor, lonely self hanging there. Inside the house was a happy family made of Dad, Mom, and Bella, with the occasional sound of Bella's giggles and Mom's gentle voice lulling her to sleep. Outside the house were my soul and my corpse, completely forgotten by the world.

N/A POV They entered the Necropolis to see an army of the living dead awaiting them, La Bruja sitting on a pedestal, placing herself above all others as if she were the ruler of the dead. As Jacke took the lead, Mallow, Milo, and Gloria split off from the group to divert attention from them; They took to different sides of the realm, as Jacke and Alex led their army forwards, something told them that even if La Bruja would have words, there was no way out of here without a fight, and they'd come to terms with that fact.

I had no choice, so I dug through every gift Zoe had ever given me, but I found nothing. Just when I was about to give up, I shook a pillow, and a tiny paper figure floated out. Its face was drawn to resemble Lucas, and his birth details were written on the back! The fortune teller exclaimed, “That’s it! The lock and the paper figure work together, and since you've touched the lock, the effect on you is stronger. Luckily, you found it early.” I broke out in a cold sweat. That same day, I slipped the paper figure under Miles’ pillow and instructed my parents to watch him while he slept.

Funeral's next week. Yeah—no body, just the funeral. The replies came in fast: [You didn't even find her body. How can you hold a funeral?] [Jensen Johnston, are you seriously losing it? What if she's not dead?] [If Nancy shows up and sees her own funeral, she's gonna flip. You sure you wanna piss her off like that?]

Steeling ourselves against the overpowering scent of blood, Lee, DJay and I slowly walked through the hallway. Blood and gore lined the walls and every now and then the flashlight would catch against a bloodied handprint on the walls. I couldn't sense anything living on this floor, which was of some small comfort. That was until I realised what that actually meant. People had died here. "Being as new to all this as I am," I said rather quietly to the two walking with me, "how likely is it that the dead are going to get back up and want to eat us?"

The line crackled. Then the feed cut to black. The silence that followed was suffocating. Luca turned to me. “You said you buried him yourself.” “I did,” I whispered. He stepped closer, voice low. “Then what did you bury, Amara?” “The dead are patient. They wait for the living to forget.”

"Luna, this is our joint project with Euronia. Study the process. You're coming with me to negotiations next week." I flipped it open. "Va bene." Mamma handed me a cup of warm water. "Don't push yourself. If you don't want this life, I can take care of you forever." "I can handle it, Mamma." I smiled. "If I survived the slums, I can survive this. Especially with you and Papa." I knew one thing. If I wanted freedom from my past, I had to become stronger. Ella Pezzano died in the flames at Costa Estate.

CHAPTER SIX They held a funeral for the bits and pieces of Aleta they could find. It wasn’t much. Marie chose to have her cremated and then there was even less. She kept her in a jar in the living room. She had always believed in burial, but had dreams of wolves digging Aleta’s bones up at night, gnawing on them and taking them away off to some dark magical forest. Night after night. So in the jar she went, and the jar was placed high, and when her mother died she cremated her as well and set them side-by-side.

CHAPTER 15 Slouching Towards Bethlehem Jon came back to the beginning. For eighty one days, the beast was fed. Crixen Runeburner, in human flesh, ate, drank, fucked, and shit in the mausoleum below Goodleburg Cemetery. All the cousins below, several hundred of the St. Fond family, continued non-stop until they were hollowed-out zombies, merely a shell for their magical egos.
