Zoe was shoved out the front door. By now, the sky had gone completely dark. Snow was falling hard, the wind cutting through her even beneath her thick winter coat. The pain in her body only made the cold feel worse. She hadn’t even gotten up yet when Dylan threw her suitcase out after her. “Take your stuff and get lost!” he barked. With a loud thud, the suitcase slammed into her wrist. A sharp crack rang out. Zoe let out a scream that cut through the night. “Dylan—it hurts! I think my wrist is broken! And my stomach... it really hurts...”

Nothing else––the snow was right up against the window and so deep most of the house was buried. “Oh, my God,” Jade said and clapped her hand against her mouth. “This is crazy! This isn’t normal for this time of year, is it?” I shook my head. “It’s a freak snowstorm. I have to admit, I kind of like the idea of being stranded here with you.” I planted a kiss on her lips, and she came away with a smile. “Have you called Ben?” she asked, her smile giving way to a serious expression.

I help Snow out but not before throwing an awful glare at Jordan. “Get the fuck out of this house. And remember, drop the keys! Knox walks ahead of us and pulls the backdoor of his car open. I help Snow in first, then I climb right after, fingers shaking, adrenaline still spiking in my bloodstream. She leans into me, my hand moving into her hair on reflex. Knox rounds the car, slides into the driver's seat, shuts the door, and drives off. We drive in silence. Or rather, Knox drive in silence while Snow sobs with her face pressed into me.

The snowstorm grew even stronger that afternoon. Heavy snow fell without stopping, covering the windows in a thick white layer. The wind howled outside the lake house like a wild animal. Ryan was now stuck with us for at least another day. He sat by the fireplace, sharing old stories with Ethan and laughing like everything was normal. But for me, nothing felt normal anymore.

All of us are watching with childlike excitement. "The blizzard is over, and cleanup will take place over the next few days. We have received about five feet of snow, so for all those children wanting to go outside and enjoy the snow days for the next few days, stay safe and make sure your parents know where you are at all times. Stay away from the roads, as snow plows will be working hard to clear all roads and sidewalks." This was the announcement we all needed, as everyone shouts and cheers happily. Judging from the report, the front door to the pack house would be snowed in, so our best bet would be to head outside through a window on the second floor.

Elsa said and increased the speed of the car further riding fast. "Hahaha.... Of a truth you're gonna get us killed." Sharon said and they laughed out loud. She puts a flash drive into the port in the car and played the song WRITING ON THE WALL by French Montana and they danced to the tone of the song as rode down the freeway with laughter.. The Snows glide in the air as they enjoyed the frozen temperature, the street seems empty as no single soul was seen. A cab swerved through the street and stopped by a house, a teen girl alighted from the cab and it drove away almost immediately.

Venus inquired to Snow as she stopped feeding Carolina. “Hi Lavy.” Snow said in a low joyless voice, she kept her back faced away from us, head down hair falling over her face. “Are you ok, Snow you don’t seem alright.” I flipped to her side of the bed where she stood with Carolina. “Yah, I’m fine.” She muttered, I heard a crack in her soft voice. I stood up thinking a possibility of something bad happened giving her a hug from the behind. “I’m a little tired today, I-I think I’m going to hit the Ice early today.” She fake yawned letting me go from the hug, sighing taking her shoes off to laying herself on the bed. She shifted the other way from me having her back towards me.

Maybe there's a robber outside and you want our house to get robbed, don't you? Eion: How'd you know? Snow: ok, gotta sleep now. At this, he called my phone and I declined it instantly. Eion: No, open your damn back door! Snow: Why?!!! Eion: Just do it!!!! It's not what I think it is...is it? That he's there, waiting for me like in those movies...? I rushed downstairs and into the back door. I stopped to type a text and confirm it. Snow: How would I know that you're not just fooling around? Bye. I'll sleep now.

Lacey tells him, before she turns around once more to check on the children. Sunny is staring out the window in delight, seemingly mesmerized by the fat flakes of falling snow. Jack is playing his hand held gaming console once more, but he too keeps casting furtive glances out his window at the snow. Both children love the snow. Sunny finds it magical, how fluffy it looks and how it sparkles in the light. Jack just likes throwing snowballs at people and piling the fresh powder up to make forts or snowmen.
