Sienna The suffocating silence of the bar seemed to press down on my chest like a physical weight, making it incredibly hard to draw a full breath. I slowly pulled my hand back out of the hidden compartment beneath the dark marble counter, my knuckles scraping lightly against the wood of the interior frame. Wrapped securely in my trembling fingers wasn't a stash of unmarked cash, a black ledger, or a modern weapon. It was just a book. A thick, heavy, dust-jacketed volume that had been tucked away into the hollowed-out space of the bar.

‘Lunaris. Cassian picked up one ring, sliding it onto my trembling finger, his thumb lingering on my hand. “For every lifetime,” he whispered softly. I took the other ring and slipped it onto his finger, smiling through tears. “And every moon that follows.” Then Grandpa Velen slipped a hand inside his coat and pulled out a mid-sized old leather book. The moment he opened it, the surrounding chatter faded until only the soft crackle of lantern flames remained. Cassian’s hand found mine, warm and steady, grounding me. I curled my fingers around his, feeling his pulse thrum through our joined hands.

Arian’s pov Kael really has the nerve to talk to me about help. Why would I even let him help me? He thinks his hot body would make me fall for his tricks. I snorted as I walked to the book club meeting room. As I entered, the heavy silence washed over me. The room was quieter than usual. Not the cozy kind of quiet that happened when everyone was deep in a book. This was different. It was thick with tension and uncomfortable to bear. It is the kind of silence that makes you hyper-aware of every breath, every glance, every whisper you weren’t supposed to hear.

“The one who broke her promise first was you. I told you I’d make you Luna and make sure your child was born safely, but what you should never have done was plot against Lianne.” A flicker of panic flashed in Chloe’s eyes. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. Everything I did… Wasn’t it all with your silent approval?” Harry ordered his men to throw her out of the estate. “I was wrong to indulge you again and again, but that doesn’t make you innocent. From today onward, the Fangtooth Pack is cutting ties with the Blackmoon Pack. From now on, we’re enemies.” Fear finally showed in Chloe’s eyes.

“Not erased.” The Author of Silence didn’t move, Didn’t threaten. It simply waited. The closed book still extended. Her hands itched. Her chest pulsed. Her daughter still stared, still holding that one page. Mama lives. It was not a prophecy. It was a plea. Liora reached for the sealed book. Kael tensed. Ashen screamed inside her blood, And just as her fingers brushed the leather cover, The book moved. No longer in the Author’s hands, Now held by Liolai. And as she touched it, The book opened itself.

And so, my heart beat on, slowly and faintly. - One day, an unwelcome guest came to our little sanctuary. Roanna knelt beside my legs, sobbing and pleading, "Miss Palmer, please… Please tell Scott to talk to me again! I really love him, and I can't live without him!" Mary burst out from the kitchen, waving a kitchen knife. "You shameless b*tch! How dare you show your face?" Roanna raised her chin in defiance, shouted, "Kill me then! I can't live without Scott, so kill me!"

He then brought me to the finest restaurant in the Black Rose Pack—a quiet, elegant place deep in the woods. Philip had always wanted to bring me here, but I had refused every time. It was too expensive. I did not refuse this time. He sat close beside me, handed me a glass of red wine, and leaned in to whisper in my ear. "I promise—it's just the two of us today. No one else will get in the way."

It was like I able to understand the world, that I wasn't the only one who have the same reaction towards this thing! “Books...” My eyes wander inside, searching for a soul to fully sigh in relief. Yet, nothing. Only the well-design shelf and the classics of a books greet me. And the silence cause a heaviness in my heart, and it worst from here and then. Deep within me though lies a hope that a place such as this wouldn't be possibly wondrous if no one to cater and makes it to happen. I have thought the worst when mom told me that the silent place like this was strange in itself. And it was like fill with chaos and wreckage all over the place.
