A calm voice came from above, "They're cherry blossoms." I froze and slowly lifted my head, only to meet Calvin's smiling eyes. The scent of oud wood mixed with alcohol lingered in the cool night air. This was strange. I hadn't drunk anything. Yet, I felt as if I were intoxicated. I couldn't remember how many years it had been since I last felt my heart stir like this. For adults, a flutter of the heart was rarer than diamonds. He picked the flowers he thought Selene feels like, a lady orchid, yellow azalea and a bunch of tassle flowers. The old lady smiled so sweetly to him while she was arranging the bouquet.

Just then, the front door opened, and she looked up to see Luisa stepping into the house. “You're back early.” Thalassa noted, setting the flowers down on the dining table beside the basket of chocolates. “Yep, I have a date with Alden later, so need time to look sexy for him. I'm going to get me some dick tonight.” Luisa winked, then paused when her eyes landed on the flowers. “Wow, those are gorgeous.” Her face lit up with excitement when she noticed the basket as well. Like a mad house pet. I switched to video and panned across the suite showing him the bizarre scene as staff working on various displays across my room. We both gasped at the huge, vivid bouquets of flowers. No roses, all exotic, colourful blooms. Expensive wines, champagne and cheeses covered two tables. Upgraded robes, slippers, caviar, even a selection of cigars awaited me.

There’s a tent card on the table with neat loopy handwriting that says ‘Enjoy your stay!’ “Aww! It's decked out with an enormous platter of chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne. The beds are turned down and donned with little chocolates on the pillows. Music plays softly throughout the suite; the lights are all dim, and fresh flowers adorn the tables.
