But just past all the trees and away from the mountains, a little village lay in wait, tucked in its own private oasis away from the chaos and noise cities brought with their immense population. Ophir circled the village a few times before moving closer to a large stone tower that was wrapped in vines of ivy. Children came running out of their houses, cheering excitedly as they spotted us. Parents rushed out, making them move out of the way as Ophir lowered us to the ground.

Luna yips and jumps in excitement to show she agrees with the plan. “At 3am?” I ask doubtful. “The 3am crowd is the best.” He says holding his hand out to me. I give him one last skeptical look and resign myself to dinner with a vampire. An extremely handsome and charming vampire… No. I need to stop that train of thought right now! I ignore his hand and motion for him to lead the way. He drops his hand acting unfazed and we begin walking towards Main Street.

And the village emerged. Not ruined like the outskirts - this one lived, though barely. Moss-covered rooftops curved from the earth itself, shaped like den and cave. Smoke curled from small vents. Glowing eyes watched from the undergrowth and the shadows of doorways. Children with silver-streaked hair ducked out of view. Mothers pulled them back in silence.

I pulled away, feeling a bit nervous, looking into his black eyes, he rubbed the back of his neck, I think he was nervous just as much as me. I looked at my friends, they were approaching us, "this is so amazing, I would've been heartbroken if you missed all of this" Anna said looking at the amazing view, it looked like a fairy tale village surrounded by big mountains covered in snow, and the sun made the snow sparkle like diamonds. I was impressed by the view , even though we still didn't enter the village yet, but from this spot you could see how small the wooden houses are, they were covered with snow, while the smoke coming out of their chimneys.

Chapter 66 The Village As the village came into sight of the group's formation, a mesmerizing sight greeted their eyes.
