Lonely Dove

Lonely Dove

An Army mule had tromped the toe ten years before, and since then it had stuck out slightly in the wrong direction, just enough to make his boot rub a corn. The only solution to the problem was to cut holes in his boot, which worked fine in dry weather but had its disadvantages when it was wet and cold. Gus had offered to rebreak the toe and set it properly, but Pea didn’t hate the corn that bad. It did seem to him that it was only common sense that a sore toe made more difference in his life than a woman he had barely spoken to;

This book is a wonderful blend of drama , love and reality . I'd say this book is perfect for anyone who is questioning his/her life choices in terms of a relationship and is also a casual reading pleasure. Would rate the book a sweet 10/10 .

What a great book - well written with minimal errors. So many emotions. Lots of twists and turns. It was hard to put the book down because the storyline was captivating. Love the ending. Definitely worth reading.

A Troubled Mind

A Troubled Mind

When he didn't have another tear to cry he shook his head, reached up and wiped away his tears, and looked long and hard at his reflection in the mirror. The past few months had really taken a toll on him. All the time spent stressing and worrying had aged him. There were more gray hairs than there used to be. He had lost weight stressing over his comatose daughter and the wellbeing of the other family members His eyes were more sunken than they used to be. He was paler because he had barely even seen the sun or outdoors in months. The were worry lines creasing his face now. He was certain they were now permanent feature. As he stood there taking it all in he realized just how much this enti

Enticing Series 2: Trouble (English)

Enticing Series 2: Trouble (English)

They love drinking alcohol at night because it is good but they curse it when the morning comes because of the hangover that it gives them. Damn this hangover! I will not drink that much next time! I don’t want to feel this awful again in the morning. I took a deep breath and massaged my temple. But I immediately opened my eyes when I realized that I didn’t remember how I got home. The last thing I remember is when me, Cheya, and Maya were sitting quietly at our table. The twins are leaning on my shoulder and fall asleep while we are waiting for Andrel to come back. I don’t remember anything after that.

To have and to Loathe

To have and to Loathe

My head aches and my cheeks and teeth hurt so bad. “What happened? What time is it?” I didn’t remember getting upstairs. The last memory I had was wanting to go upstairs after the whole drama. “It is already morning dear. How are you feeling?” Imelda replied, her smile still in place. “Like I was hit by a truck. And my teeth hurt.” She didn’t say anything but smiled sadly. “Where is Killian?”

Trouble-Makers

Trouble-Makers

He wants her to eat, so he's paying for it. They ended up sitting next to each other on a bench outside the cafeteria, eating their respective toasts. He finished his and got started on another one, while she's still munching on her first. 'Munching' is too much of a stretch. 'Nibbling' would be a more accurate word to describe the way she eats. Jay doesn't really feel hungry today, just angry that people are trying to get close to her because of her brother. And her asshole of a brother is not showing up to their ritual breakfast today, so she's stuck with his giant friend. Not really stuck, she can get up and leave anytime, but being next to him feels a little safer.

The Trouble I Brought Home

The Trouble I Brought Home

I dropped onto the bed and slumped against her, letting out a long sigh. "It's way too hard to find a decent nanny these days. The cleaner ones are too young, and the younger ones don't have enough experience with babies. I thought we hit the jackpot and even paid extra to bring Lillian from another family. I didn't think it'd turn out like this. It's driving me crazy." Estelle set her tablet aside and gently ran her fingers through my hair.

The Ordeal

The Ordeal

The monotony of the task at hand weighed heavily on her, her eyes struggling to decipher the small text illuminated by the moon. Her determination was unwavering, a fire that burned brighter than the moon's glow. The passing minutes blurred into hours as she pushed forward, determined to cover as much ground as possible. Weariness gnawed at her, and she found herself rubbing her eyes to ward off the encroaching fatigue.

You Taste Like Trouble To Me...

You Taste Like Trouble To Me...

Matty giggled, “Are they the little pigs, like my toes?” “They most certainly are,” Lila purred once again, slipping off one of Lotte’s socks. Charlotte was so locked up in the other woman’s green gaze that she didn’t know how to respond as the redhead placed a pointer finger over her big toe. “This lil piggy went to the market… This little pig is now home… This little piggy will eat tons tonight… This little piggy will too… And thiiiis little piggy…” Charlotte let out a yelp as Lila suddenly plunged forward and put her tiniest toe in her mouth…
