Tales of a Shifter (P1) - Meeting

Tales of a Shifter (P1) - Meeting

All of the limbs were stokes of circles and blocks and in the painting its teeth were overly dramatized, its ears pulled back, and its limbs far too long and painted pitch black, but beyond all of this the essence of the picture was of a Ghoul. Big black eyes, dripping fluids, long talons dripping in blood and a pile of silently moaning bodies laid beneath it. Bodies it was devouring. It was obviously an old panting and the dullness of color and the yellow of the canvas it was on, spoke to many years of wear, but none the less it gave Brandon a chill. There it was. The monsters that had plagued him endlessly. The monsters that his enemies controlled. Without trying to be too obvious about it

Healing with the monster

Healing with the monster

The sub-basement of Vane Biotics was a tomb of glass and pressurized air. I stood in the center of the "Sequence 5" nursery, the silver locket clutched in my palm so tightly the metal was beginning to bite into my skin. Outside the acrylic walls, the dark water of the Atlantic churned, a silent witness to the monsters Victor Vane had created. "Intruder Alert. Biometric purge in forty-five seconds," the AI’s voice echoed, cold and rhythmic, through the white corridor.

The monster's fated prey

The monster's fated prey

They were calling Lior’s name—a summons that vibrated through the stone foundations. *The witches.* Aziel pulled away, his expression shifting from madness to lethal focus. Lior stood, breathless, the bond humming with a new, terrifying danger that eclipsed everything they had just felt. The ghosts of the past were no longer their only problem; the present had arrived to claim them.

Monsters Among Us

Monsters Among Us

BOOM! It was a taunting sound that only seemed to grow louder his eyes were straining to see through the ever-growing and changing darkness. It was growing dark faster to thick and heavy for him to see clearly. To think that it was only 4 pm, Jake knew with fall and winter approaching they would be getting less and less sunlight and that worried him greatly. He did not know why he never believed in monsters and ghouls but now lost in the dark with that pounding echoing in his ears.

My Monster

My Monster

"You're... awake." "I am," I whisper. "I'm here. Don't you dare leave me." His mouth twitches faintly. "Wasn't planning on it." Before I can respond, a low sound rolls through the chamber. That annoying chanting again. It makes my skin crawl. I crane my neck, my heart hammering, just as figures in red robes emerge from the shadows. They're carrying coffins. Two of them. The coffins are carved with symbols that make my stomach drop. The cultists move slowly as if what they're bearing is sacred. Or cursed.

Okay so I won't lie, I was tempted to stop reading at one point. I felt it was going slower than I like, and I didn't understand why this super strong tribrid was the way he was. BOY WAS I IN FOR IT. I'm glad I didn't stop reading. That twist was.. WOW. Was NOT expecting it. I enjoyed this story!
Katrina Hofstadter
I loved this book and am looking forward to reading more from this author and the next book of this saga. The author doesn't leave an question unanswered or unnecessarily drag the story out. The ability to keep the continuity of the story from beginning to end, was spot on. A great read!

The Return of the War Legate

The Return of the War Legate

The creature resembled neither a human nor a ghost. The Violet Rain Bird’s expression turned grim, its massive body trembling. “Be careful, Master Adrian. This is a Human Ghoul.” A Human Ghoul was a humanoid monster classified as a type of daemonic beast. Its sharp fangs and black eyes presented a truly frightening sight. As the creature growled, Adrian's gaze turned icy. “You really think you’re something?” He charged at the beast.

The Almighty Dragon General

The Almighty Dragon General

James could see a group of unknown monsters densely packed together in the deepest part of the ancient battlefield and could even vaguely hear the monster’s roars. “I was right.” James took a deep breath. He came to the city with speculations, and the sight had proved him right. James asked solemnly, “What are the origins of these monsters?” The middle-aged man replied, “They are from beyond the Endlos. These monsters are being constantly manufactured, and wiping them out is impossible. The mastermind producing them has to be taken out. In the deepest part of the Tribulation World is Tribulation City, which exists to seal off this passage and block out these monsters.”

This end is terrible. I strongly believe there is a volume 2 or part 2. I refuse to be left hanging and thinking of a million ways the whole thing played out. Patiently waiting for volume 2............

The Black Sorcerer

The Black Sorcerer

He sneered. "Now you are acting bossy, huh!" He said while running towards a trainee fighting not too far from him. Nonetheless, he noticed the monster rushing towards him. Yman doesn't know if what was the name of these monsters. Above their head, only the health bar in red color and the numbers inside it were displayed. Above the red health bar, the three question marks could be seen. Since their system deity was from the earth above, the monsters registered on it were limited only from the monsters on earth above or Outerworld. So the monsters in this world were unknown to the system deity.

The Reaper's Harem: My Monster Mates

The Reaper's Harem: My Monster Mates

I'm sitting in a ruined city under a dead grey sky. Flickering billboards buzz overhead: "Mythos Academy...Awakening Recruitment...Angels, Demons, Vampires..." Mythos Academy? I look at the hologram, then at the desolate ruins, and finally at the piece of beef in my chopsticks. "Where the hell am I?" Is this even Earth? I swallow the meat and stand up to scan my surroundings. Desolate. Silent. No humans. This place looks like it's been bombed.
