The Luna's Deception
"Signal the traitor at the gate."
The vision shifted slightly. I saw the massive wooden gates of the Silvermoon fortress. There were no battering rams. There were no enemies climbing the walls.
Instead, the gates groaned. The heavy iron bars were lifted from the inside.
Slowly, silently, the gates swung open.
A hooded figure stood in the shadows of the archway, holding a lantern. He waved it three times—the signal for 'all clear.'
"They didn't break in," I whispered, the realization crashing into me like a wave. "You let them in."
