Vier had her worst time when her father died. And as the oldest, she obliged herself to be the main provider of the family and to do this, she chose to end her relationship with Cloud, the man she wholeheartedly loved.  She accepted an offer to work abroad but a week before leaving the Philippines, she found out that she was pregnant and she's too sure that Cloud wouldn't let her leave so she just kept about it by herself for the sake of her dream and for her family.   But Cloud knew about it. Out of desperation, she just said that the child was gone. She saw and felt his madness that night.   Cloud thought that their child could bring Vier back to him but the baby was gone as Vier had told him. He felt death from that moment. He tried to survive from that nightmare Vier had created, but it seems like destiny won't allow him.
