Ang tagumpay ay tungkol sa pagmamahal at sa mga oras na magkasama kami, kahit sa mga simpleng gawain at araw-araw na buhay. Isang Linggo ng umaga, nagdesisyon kaming magplano ng isa pang family day. Tinutok namin ang atensyon namin kay Elias at kung paano namin siya matutulungan sa mga bagay na mahalaga para sa kanya. “Mahal,” sabi ko, “ano kaya kung mag-plano tayo ng mas maraming araw na ganito, na walang ibang iniisip kundi magkasama tayo at mag-enjoy?”

It doesn't mean they have to spend money, but a simple cuddling on the couch while doing a movie marathon is their kind of lazy day. Life is good for them. Pero katulad ng panahon, walang makapagsasabi kung hanggang kailan sila magiging ganito.

Is this some fun? “It’s our day-off.”

We did well, we'll do better the next day, and we'll do the best in these coming days. You may not do whatever you want for today's agenda, but surviving is already an achievement so celebrate that. It is not a battle to feel productive or do something that is a must every single day. Even if you do nothing today, it's okay. It's okay to lose at your own track at times, it's okay to stop for a bit.

"So, how’s your day going?" We spent the next few minutes talking about random things—how her day was, the little mishaps she encountered, and the latest level she was trying to beat in her game. It was all so mundane, yet it felt incredibly significant to me. I could’ve spent hours just listening to her talk about anything and everything.

At natapos ang bwesit na araw ko sa pakikipag-sosyalan at sa maharot na pangit na walang ibang ginawa kung hindi tsansingan ako! What a bullshit day.

Paano ba naman kasi, hindi ko inasahang saktong magtatagpo ang mga mata namin. Tumikhim si Mr. Coldwell bago nagpatuloy, “So let’s enjoy tonight. Eat well, connect, and make the most of this time together. And as we move forward, let’s do our best—not just for the work we do, but for the people we’re working with.”
