Unsent Messages Novels & Stories

Charlotte took William's phone, unlocked it, and opened his chat with Tessa. She scrolled up casually. The screen was filled with text, emojis, and one voice message after another. Long and short, every single one marked as read, every one listened to. "You always use the excuse that you don't like listening to voice messages, but you listened to every single one Tessa sent." "But the ones I sent you... you never even opened them." She exited the chat and switched back to their conversation. A quick scroll up revealed a screen full of red dots, like tiny drops of blood.

"I noticed it yesterday at the lagoon." "Maybe she never got around to setting one." "Maybe." I pressed the side button and the screen came on. Plain home screen. Nothing unusual at first glance. Then I saw the notifications. A neat row of unread messages at the top, all from the same contact. Not a name, just a single letter. I went completely still, and I couldn't even move. Seven messages. All from Q. The timestamps started from yesterday evening and ran through to this morning. Every single one of them is sitting there, unopened and waiting.

“No.” His voice sounded weaker. “You don't.” I frowned. “What do you mean?” Another pause. “I sent you several messages.” My eyes immediately moved toward the conversation on my phone. The messages I had sent him were still undelivered. “I never received them.” “I know.” His voice sounded almost defeated. I felt a strange pressure forming in my chest. Kade was not someone who sounded defeated. Not usually. “What happened?” He did not answer immediately. I could hear something in the background.

“Why haven't they replied to my message?”. Annabelle bit her fingers even more as she questioned herself. To be fair, she's waited for more than 30 minutes already, so she was feeling so unsettled and threatened. It didn't take Annabelle long, and she found herself composing a new message. But the problem was, when she sent the new message, it didn't go through. In fact, immediately she sent the message to the unknown source, all her messages, including the ones the unknown source sent to her, all got wiped away.

She had two unread messages- one from 'unknown no' and another from 'unsaved no'. Elena fidgeted, sneaking few glances at June. She bit her lip as she opened the message from unsaved no. Hey babe, I'm at a mart few blocks from the house you said the party's taking place. Meet me there, please.❤️ "It's just a picture, Elena!" Right. "Yeah, right," Elena said, nervously closing the messaging app. "You got a text message." "Oh, from who?" June replied, immediately coming over to have her phone.

Tipping my tablet and my tokens on the bed, I tried to work out where to find messages from men I’d not already booked into my calendar or sent a message to myself. When Mhairi appeared a little later she helped me navigate to them. I was blown away to see I had over thirty unsolicited messages in my inbox. It was more than I’d expected, and my mouth fell open as I wondered if they were all from Lord Logan. “You’ve not been checking your messages from cold callers, have you?” Mhairi asked as she glanced over my shoulder. “I didn’t know they were filed separately,” I replied, quickly scrolling to the bottom to see how long ago I’d received the first one.

Did she just call me their Luna? A sick feeling twisted in my stomach. No. That couldn’t be right. I wasn’t one of them. I wasn’t meant to be here. I swallowed hard, my throat dry and raw. “I’m not your Luna,” I rasped, forcing the words out. The old woman’s sharp gaze flicked over me with something between pity and disapproval. “That’s not for you to decide, child.” Her words sent a cold shiver down my spine. Before I could protest again, she sighed and moved toward a side door, pushing it open. “The bath is warm. You stink of sweat and filth. Wash yourself before the Alpha returns.”

I see one missed call from Ian and a text from five minutes ago. Ian Quinn: Where are you? I frowned at his text then noticed the text I typed a few hours ago is still in my inbox. Shoot, I forgot to send it after bringing Hannah her hair brush. I canceled the text I’d written to tell him I was staying over at Hanna’s today. Reconstructed the message with the right tenses this time. Me: At Hannah’s. She’s upset, will update you later. Staying with her tonight. I hit send and it shows the text is received and read seconds later. I wait a few moments for a reply, when none comes I take my phone with me back to the leaving room.

I need to find a creative way to start a conversation. ‘’Knock knock.’’ I clicked the sent button and later eyeing the message. How childish it is but I can’t even delete it as it’s already sent. Please don’t see this message. He will think of me as crazy again. Please Mansoor don’t see this message. I think I need to search how to unbend a message on skype. Or is it even possible? Told you I can’t use my phone. Typing….. Was clearly show on the screen. He saw my message and is now replying.

it's just been complete silence from him and I didn’t know what to do. Scrolling through my phone, I looked over all the messages I had sent him. Almost instantly I had replied to his ‘’goodbye’’ message; Huh? What? What are you talking about?? Xx - Not Sent But it wouldn’t go through. I tried sending it a bunch of times, but each time, It just came back with the ‘’unable to send’’ notification’. Toby, please, just explain what is going on! Xx - Not Sent
