The Alpha in My Dream
I reached out, pausing an inch away from her wrapped hands, waiting until she slowly, hesitantly slid her fingers out from beneath the fleece to meet mine.
"The dream didn't build a perfect version of you," I murmured, gently wrapping my large, scarred hand around her raw fingers. "The dream simply allowed me to see your soul before the world bruised your body. Reality isn't going to break anything, little one. It's just going to give me the chance to prove that I'm real enough to hold you through the daylight, too."
