Vampires Blood Scent Novels & Stories

Dad was not there with the police, the council meeting is more important. I’ve seen the families of the victims crying and cursing at the media. Although there were a lot of people, she always stands out among them. It was only a short distance away that I knew he was there. She always smells like fresh water from the ocean, that’s how her blood smells. To tell you, strong human bloods have different smells. They go with the smell of the ocean, then different kinds of flowers. Vampires believe that the blood with the smell of the ocean is the most delicious.

And a lot of it. It doesn't hide the light swelling around her left eye, though. Taking another step forward, I discreetly sniff her, and my eyes sharpen. It's that same scent, the icy one with the odd hint of sweetness. Vampires all carry that same icy scent, which is what makes it so hard to distinguish them by scent alone. But this one, she has a trace of sweetness under that icy scent of hers. The realization follows almost instantly: she is the vampire who saved me!

I wasn't sure where else he was supposed to sleep, but I never really thought about it long enough to be bothered by it. Ardyn's scent was unique, and when I took my deliberate breaths, I noticed his scent was all over the room, mixing oddly well with Clyde's. All vampires had the scent of blood. It was less because of their nature, and more because of the fact that it was what they consumed that made them have that scent. Or at least, that was how it initially was with the original vampires anyway. I suppose over the years, the scent just became so associated with their DNA that even newborn vampires had the subtle scent of blood. But I wasn't sure that was how evolution worked though, not

Because right behind my wolf, the second monster broke its chains. My vampire blood surged to the surface with a violent, terrifying hunger. My mouth filled with saliva as my throat burned for something rich, warm, and metallic. My suppressed pine scent disappeared instantly, replaced by an overwhelming fragrance that hit the room like a physical wall. It smelled of sharp copper, cold iron, and sweet amber. The wolves near the front immediately gasped, clutching their throats as they stumbled backward. Nolan gagged and dropped to one knee, choking as the pressure of my new scent filled the temple. It was lethal. It was predatory. It was something no normal wolf was ever meant to smell.

It smelled of dampness, salt, abandonment. And something else. A cold, metallic, ancient scent. A smell that belonged to neither wolf nor human. I recognized it before opening my eyes, because wolves are born knowing that scent. It’s carved into our most primitive instinct, into the part of the brain that screams “run” before the conscious mind understands why. Vampire. “What are you doing here?” The voice was soft, polite, with an accent I couldn’t place. “You know what will happen if someone follows you.”

“Just once, and it’s not a smell you forget. It’s a disgusting sickly sweet smell.” “Did you happen to smell it on my mate when we found her?” “No offense Alpha, you didn’t really let any of us get close enough to her, but I’ll ask Xavier if he noticed anything off about her scent before we got there.” “Alert the patrol to be on the hunt for that scent. If they come across it anywhere near our territory or the human city, they are to inform you and I immediately.” “Yes Alpha.” The mind link closes, and I finish getting dressed, trying to figure out why a vampire would be so interested in my mate. What is it about her? Cyran can feel that she has a wolf, so her taste should be repugnant to th

He was already removing a glass perfume bottle from his coat's pocket when she finally summoned the last of her fragmented wits to turn around. As he removed the tiny stopper, she said, "I'm guessing that's not holy water." Her nose was assaulted by the musky, floral perfume of wild orchids, which was so potent and seductive that it made her feel a little tipsy just to breathe it in. He tipped the bottle to moisten the tip of his forefinger and said, "This should help to mask your scent." Fresh humans are the only thing that vampires can smell. What scent do I give off to you?" she enquired, genuinely interested.

The undead creatures smelt the way they were to a werewolf, that is, most vampires were turned and a few were born. The born ones smelt the worst, always reeking like some dead animal while the turned ones were more manageable as their former scents before they were turned would linger around their new vampiric smell. So for example, if a human that used to smell like cinnamon was turned, they would acquire the scent of a dead animal probably a possum which will then mix with the cinnamon scent and balance each other out. When Astra picked up other human smells mixed with dead animals, her eyes turned sharp and she almost growled. How had she not noticed this before?

Or could she be one? He sniffed the air taking in her scent. Vampires have a heightened sense of smell, he inhaled her smell but it only increased his desire for her, she smelled sweet yet sour. He could take her on his tongue which is weird and strange, although he tried to detect if he could sense any magical aura around her but it seems his sudden physical urge to taste and have her increased. Clearing his throat as he snapped back from his thoughts. He forced himself to hold her gaze. “Well, I … I’m really quite flattered …”He says..
