Vanessa Brooks Blade Novels & Stories

The moment she stepped inside, silence fell. Six men stood inside. One sat behind a desk, bald, broad, and smug-looking, the supposed one in charge, she guessed. He barely got a word out. Viviana pulled out the twin blades hidden beneath her jacket. Her movements were swift and controlled. The first two didn’t even see it coming. Blood sprayed as her blade sliced clean through necks and throats. Yevgeny stepped back, stunned. The man behind the desk reached for a gun, but it was too slow. She hurled a blade across the room, embedding it in his forehead. He collapsed, chair and all, with a dull thud.

Vincenzo pulled out a white hand towel and cleaned up the blood on the knife before dropping it and picking up another one. My eyes widened a little as I saw the blade in his hands. Spyderco Matriarch. Vincenzo rarely used this blade on anyone because in his words 'he wouldn't waste his favorite blade on mere situations.' The blade was only ever seen when the boss was enraged. And I knew the moment was now. I could see that he was barely controlling his rage.

Suddenly, a figure rushed forward from the side. “It's all your fault!!” Vanessa appeared like a storm. Her hair was messy, her eyes wild and bloodshot. In her trembling hand, a knife gleamed under the sunlight. “I’ll kill you!” she screamed hysterically. She lunged forward. But Eleanor moved quickly, stepping aside just as the blade slashed through the air. Security guards rushed forward immediately, grabbing Vanessa and restraining her before she could attack again. Vanessa struggled violently, screaming and thrashing like a woman who had completely lost control.

only her. Jade's POV That was amazing, I guess I can check kitchen sex off the list. I looked over at Blake as he pulled his sweatpants up, his back decorated with new marks and some of them cut deep enough that they were starting to bleed, "I really think I should trim my nails." I said. He walked up to me and took my hands in his, "I thought we already talked about this." he smiled. "Yeah but you're bleeding."

I shouted. I stepped out from behind Rowan. The obsidian blade in my hand felt different now. It wasn't just a heavy piece of stone. It was light, almost weightless, and it thrummed with the soft, white light of the girl I had seen in the warehouse. It was the **Blade of the Unsaid**. Every word I had swallowed, every dream I had put aside for the sake of survival, every "I love you" that had been lost in the roar of battle—it was all there, feeding the light. Vane pivoted, his liquid form spinning like a drill. He ignored Rowan and came for me. He was fast—too fast for a human to track. He was a blur of silver and shadow.

I had to close my eyes to regain full strength and looked up at him to see him staring. “You should rest. Four huge shards from the glass vase were buried into your side because you were near it when it fell, It almost fell on you to be exact. And you lost a concerning amount of blood before we managed to stop it. I don’t know if you can feel it but you also suffered a mild head concussion from your fall and the force. You’re using up a lot of energy to yell and talk.” My eyes widened as I learned all that my stunt actually caused and I made a mental note to avoid the guy that said he was my brother-in-law.

Carrie stands to her feet, turning on her heel and begins to walk away to grab Selene's katana on the floor. But before she can grip the katana off the floor, Amber uses her telepathy again, making the katana fly across the field and landing next to Blake's feet. He glances over towards the direction where the sword was tossed. His eyes widen in shock, but quickly grabs the sword off the floor as he sees more vampires launching towards him.

"Someone helped me treat this place before. A woman." I picked up the knife and a piece of cotton. For some reason, my fingers felt unsteady, a faint tremor I couldn’t immediately suppress. "Turned out she was a twenty-year-old girl. An Omega and..." My heart skipped. He knew. "She is my new Luna." The knife nearly slipped from my grip, but I tightened my hold around it, forcing control back into my fingers. "What do you think about it, Violet?" "That’s a lot of coincidences."

It was Night, up above the ever sky, the moon could be felt shining so brightly while night crickets sprouted all around, revealing the yellow Lamborghini which drove through the metal gate and then parked at a garage. Seconds passed and Vanessa who alighted from the Car heaved and stared at the Mansion before her, she wore a sleeveless blue top, a matching jacket, a badass black trouser and a pair of sneakers to fit while she began walking towards the Mansion. It was evident that she was heading home after closing from the hard Work at DPH. Vanessa who felt something changed around the environment halted, heaved and then spun her body around while throwing some kunai knifes towards the spot

“I’ve never heard of a vampire having a weapon.” Vash walked up to the body and yanked the blade out of his head. The body crumpled to the ground, and she inspected the blade. “It’s not one of ours,” she said. “At least… not one from recent make.” She handed it to Mark before coming over to me. I pressed further back into the wall. “Your pal… Tell you anything specific?” I shook my head. She narrowed her eyes. I thought there was a little glint of light in her eyes, but then she pulled back and stood.
