He placed the blade of the dagger against her back. “Are you ready?” he asked Vanessa could only muster the strength to nod and closed her eyes waiting for the blade to pierce her skin. Xavier tried his best to be gentle but nothing he could do would stop the pain. Blood spilled from the incision down her sides. He set the dagger down and inserted two fingers into her baske

Without the pressure on her throat, this gave Vanessa time to take out a small dagger she had strapped to her leg, bringing it up and into Rex's shoulder in one fluid movement, she aimed for his heart, but Rex moved after she had fully committed to the stab and she missed her target. After the dagger sank into Rex's flesh, Vanessa kicked Iris in the side of the knee putting her balance out, allowing her to break free. She started sprinting over to Reeva knowing they were not going to win tonight. Iris saw what Vanessa had done to Rex, blind with rage, she pulled from Rex, flipped the knife in her hand to be clutching the blade, and sent it flying towards Vanessa’s back. Seeing the look that

A light went on in Vanessa’s mind. Weapons! Of course, it’s what Lucas had been training her for. Vanessa clasped her hands together. As she drew them apart, a long, shimmering sword took shape. “Lucas!” She dropped to one knee and slid the icy weapon toward her target. It miraculously reached him in one piece. Lucas grasped it firmly, and drew it up to drive the sword through a Collector’s abdomen. Within a few moments, Lucas was back on his feet.

I saw Kade’s eyes flick toward her—his face unreadable. Vanessa noticed. Fired up by his attention, she charged at Tanya with everything she had. Her staff spun like a blade, and with one vicious swing, she struck Tanya in the head. Tanya crumpled to the ground with a cry of pain. Gasps rippled through the crowd. Vanessa stood tall, victorious. She tossed her hair back, sweat on her brow, and cast a smug glance toward Kade. He smirked, but his gaze drifted back to the rest of the field.

Vanessa shot back, forcing bravado as she followed me into a secluded corridor behind the chapel. In a swift motion, I produced a hunting dagger—the one the Matriarch had given me for my first hunt. Its blade glinted ominously. Vanessa hadn't even seen me draw. With a practiced motion, I seized her by the throat, pinning her against the cold stone. The steel of the blade traced a deliberate path along her cheek. My eyes were void of mercy. Vanessa’s breath hitched, her body frozen. "Aria, you’re feral! You’ve lost it!"

The blade cut my arm. Shallow. Burning. I grabbed his wrist. Twisted. He dropped the knife. I grabbed it. Drove it into his stomach. He gasped. Eyes wide. I pulled it out. Stabbed again. Chest. Throat. Again and again. Blood everywhere. He fell. Collapsed. Twitching. Dying. I left him. Turned to find Em. She was fighting Victoria. Hand to hand. No weapons. Just fists and fury.

Jessa’s face was deathly pale. Sawyer walked in at that very moment. He rushed instinctively to Jessa’s side and took hold of her icy hands. His eyes were filled with worry. “Why are your hands so cold? Did he do anything to you?” Jessa was about to speak when Vanessa broke through the chaotic crowd. She dropped to one knee and pulled out a knife. With great force, she plunged it straight into her thigh. The wet squelch of the blade entering flesh stopped everyone in their tracks.

Fearlessly facing his decade-long enemy, the vampire nemesis of their history. The cold zephyr blew, and the warm breath he was hauling became visible as he steps furthermore. Still, Vander remained standing. Bold and with no sign of fear to be reflected on his face. His eyes flashed red and the sword on his hand ignited with blue flames as the environment around them changed and perhaps it was from Vander’s ability of illusions. “It would be nice if I were to end you here. Do you still remember where we are?” he taunts as the sound of crickets occupied.

Blaze had given her this small knife back at the Phoenix cave, an alternative to using her powers in a fight. She had rarely used it since Alessia, as battling Alessia with a knife could have been risky. "Astralys!" Arabella snarled, deflecting an attack and driving her blade into an undead jugular. It sizzled, and he screeched, vibrating nonstop. Arabella eyed the knife; it had never sizzled before. It was strange that it was happening now. "That is a silver blade coated with wolfsbane," Sandro commented, eyeing her.

then a cruel smirk twisted her features, "You humans can be so cruel." "I would never hurt, Cassius," Izzie didn't know why she was even bothering to argue with her. To say it was just to keep her distracted while she reached for the blade would be a lie. It was clearly Vanessa's intention to rile her up and get to her, and she was letting her. "Don't think I haven't seen your hand inching towards that knife," Vanessa stated suddenly, making Izzie freeze.
