Veins In Neck Visible Novels & Stories

Walking into the bathroom connecting to the living room next and next to the washroom I stop at the counter. Turning I pulled back up the back of my shirt and looked at it wide eyed “shit” I whispered looking at the large purple shaded bruise that seemed to spread over my lower back red like veins peeking out behind it trailing upward. ‘That explains the burning feeling I guess’ I thought while looking at the veins. Taking in a few deep breaths I watch how the veins move under my skin turning slightly black. “Is that normal?” Sebastian asked from next to me, causing me to jump a little.

I stretched my shoulder joints and legs then turned to face Scott. “Get me hot water and a rag. I also need clothes.” I ordered him, disregarding my naked self as I walked around the table and stood over Elena's body. She was already pale as a chalk mite but she was still breathing so I felt more at ease. Her neck had veins standing at attention, they looked dark, just like the once I spotted on the girl this morning. I placed my hands on her neck gently, just beneath the portion that had the dark veins popping out, hoping that it stopped whatever circulation that was going on.

Panic flashed in his eyes, pure, unfiltered panic. “What the hell… are you okay?” I knelt beside him, reaching out to help, but the moment my fingers brushed his skin, he jerked violently and vomited more blood. I pulled back, but my eyes stayed locked on his. Something was wrong. I looked down at my hand, still resting on his arm, and noticed the skin beneath my fingers. His veins were turning black, dark lines spreading out like cracks in glass. They kept moving, snaking up through his chest, his neck, his face, until they reached his eyes.

’’ She added and walked near me, tracing something on my neck. I opened the front camera in my phone and looked at my neck, damn!! It looks like a wild animal has assaulted my neck!! Dark red hickeys covering my neck, collarbone and I'm pretty sure my chest is also filled with them. Most importantly some of them are turning purple!! And I've not noticed them till now. ‘‘It's not what you think!!’’ I said, trying to cover them with the high neck of my suit but the hickeys around my jaw and chin are still visible. Fúck, if my family or Caleb saw this then I also don't know what they will do.

When I turned away, I looked up at Elijah, who was looking at me with great concern . "Is everything okay?" I asked, my brows drawn. He wasn't looking into my eyes, or even at my lips. But on my skin. "Ky…" he whispered, and reached for my hand, "your.. Your arms." I looked down and had to bite back a scream. "What the hell?" I muttered as I stared at my arm. Black thin veins, webbed across my skin like cracks of ink. They ran up my forearms, curling over the back of my hands, disappearing under my sleeves and reappearing at my collarbone.

Golden locks cascaded down her shoulders as she beamed at the camera. A shiver raced down my spine as I clicked on the photo album, flipping to the date of my birthday. That night, Chase told me he was busy. He was so occupied with dealing with a batch of arms that he couldn't call me—and I believed in him. But the photo before me said otherwise. He was with Lucille at the most prestigious private club in Montagne, picking out a diamond necklace and holding a glass of champagne for her. I had never seen this side of him.

Almost gently. * * * Caelan was at his desk. Not working — papers pushed aside. Sitting with his face in his hands, shirt open at the collar, the way a shirt opened when a man had stopped thinking about what he looked like. So I saw them. The veins. Black, fine as thread, spreading in a branching pattern from the centre of his chest — not like bruising, like something drawn with intention. They crossed his sternum, reached toward his ribs, and one branch climbed the left side of his throat and stopped, for now, at his collarbone.

“Drink.” I looked at the veins on his throat and I could see the blood pulsing under his pale skin. I could smell the luscious life-giving blood underneath, calling to me … I didn’t pause to wonder what was happening to me or what I was doing. Instead, I bared my teeth and sank them into the milky-white flesh of his neck.

'What is this? I rushed towards the bathroom and stopped dead in my track as I saw the marks. It started as something that looked like a cursive C at the top of my breast and continued in snaked patterns as a v up around my neck and then in a small v down behind my neck. It almost looked like a tattoo, but it was much clearer defined and it also looked as if the came from beneath my skin. The color of it was a black going on purple and reminded me of the color a to visible vein had. The mirror image was shocking and all I did was just standing there questioning what had happened last night that made this appear on my skin.
