Warm Hug Artinya

On the day the gauze was removed from my eyes, I joked that I was blind. "Don't be afraid if you can't see. I'll take care of you my entire life." My husband and best friend took care of me while I was in the hospital. They sincerely made that promise to me. However, when we got home, all three of us were on the same bed. My best friend rode on top of my husband breathlessly. They were caught up in their intimacy as they thought I could not see. My best friend was worried I would suspect something and spoke up to eliminate any suspicion. "Uhh… Summer, I'm just giving your husband a massage." I was so disgusted that I wanted to throw up, but I held myself back. Once they were done, I was about to find an excuse to leave the room when my five-year-old suddenly ran in. "I miss you so much, Mom!" Hearing that warmed my heart, and I opened my arms to hug him, but he ran past me and lay down next to my best friend instead. The 'happy family of three' were all smiles and threw me looks of disgust. I could no longer tolerate this. When I called my lawyer, I told him to bring me the divorce papers. If they wanted to become a family so badly, I would make their wish come true. I just did not know if my best friend could afford to earn a decent enough income to take care of my useless husband and son.

I got into a car accident on my way to celebrate my daughter, Anna Chapman's birthday. When I wake up, I stare at my family, who has my bed surrounded. Then, I decide to crack a joke. "Sorry, but who are you people?" I do my best to suppress my smile as I look forward to how my family will comfort me now that I'm "amnesiac". Will my dad and my wife hold my hands out of heartbreak? Or will Anna rush over to hug me while crying for me? What I don't expect is that my family actually heaves sighs of relief after their initial shock. He approached me with a dark look. I closed my eyes and waited for my punishment. But I felt big hands around my waist. He buried his head in my neck, took a deep breath, and said in a deep voice. "You are a very smart and brave girl. I can help you, but I want something else in return." I ran into a hug, his scent all around me. I didn't know, until this moment, that I was in even bigger trouble.

“You dropped your spoon,” the stranger says as he grabs it. “I’ll go get another,” and the stranger goes to fetch another. When he gets back, Gianni is clinging to life because of his hunger. He is barely managing his posture. Quickly, the stranger gives the spoon to him. But as soon as it reaches the latter’s trembling hand, it falls to his bed sheets. “I can’t hold a spoon,” Gianni is despairingly disheartened. Moments of silence fills the air until the stranger’s warm hand holds Gianni’s chin open. “Open your mouth,” the stranger says as he feeds him with a spoonful off bouillabaisse. Surprised, Gianni feels the luxury of comfort once more. The stranger’s hand is so warm and comforting. He could not help but feel shy and embarrassed. “I’m sorry,” Gianni silently says. “I’ve caused you too much burden.” “It’s no problem,” the stranger wildly smiled. His smile makes Gianni’s heart throb faster than a fleeting flame. “You should regain back your strength,” the stranger continues feeding Gianni, “so that you can repay your debt with your life.” “With my life?” Gianni gulps and coughs. The revelation completely surprises him. “What do you mean?” “Your family disowned you. You have nowhere to go. You do not have any money on you nor any possessions to repay that service that I have done for you,” the stranger explains. “Thus, you shall pay back by serving as a butler." Gianni suddenly becomes the butler to the prince, who develops an interest towards the latter. How will their relationship blossom and unfold in spite of the challenges and rivals that rock their world?

When my body is engulfed in flames, my firefighter father is watching a new movie with my sister. My mother is baking them a cake. They genuinely don't care about you." Smoke permeates every corner upstairs, and the flames start to lick at my body. Mom and Dad protect Ravenna as they run downstairs. They have no idea their birth daughter is screaming in pain amid the blazing fire.

Suasana meledak, semua orang maju. Aku segera bergerak cepat ke arah Salma yang langsung melayangkan kakinya ke selangkangan dua pria yang mengapitnya. Aku meraih tangan Salma. Sesuai arahku Ferdi dan tiga temannya mengikutiku. "Fer, bawa!" Aku melepas lengan Salma. Ferdi bergegas menariknya menjauhiku. "Keluar!" tegasku sambil menunjuk arah belakang yang memang kosong. "Nggak, Arka!" teriak Salma, terus menjulurkan tangan. Aku tersenyum. Salma perlahan hilang. Syukurlah mereka berhasil kabur. Hampir lima belas menit, aku masih bertahan. Banyak dari mereka yang langsung tumbang setelah kuhajar. Tapi beberapa serangan berhasil membuat sekujur badanku babak belur. Kini penglihatanku sudah mulai runyam. Aku segera meraih balok kayu yang tergeletak tak jauh, lalu menodongkannya ke segala arah. Tanpa terduga, ada yang menyerangku dari belakang, kepalaku terasa dihantam keras dengan benda tumpul. Kakiku tak kuat lagi menopang, tak lama tubuhku telah terjengkang. Pandanganku menggelap. Sayup-sayup, aku mendengar bunyi yang tak asing. Namun, seketika hening.
