When We Meet
I overheard her say, seemingly talking to herself.
"We should have come here together, before you..."
As I stood at a distance, my eyes fixed on her, I noticed her retrieving a weathered book or perhaps a diary from her bag.
Curiosity pulling me closer, I approached her slowly, catching just a fleeting glimpse of the book in her hands. It contained photographs of her, sometimes alone, engaged in various activities or posing in front of significant buildings.
A heavy sigh escaped her lips as she whispered softly, "It feels empty without you, Brandon. This should have been our journey, you and I. But now, it's just me, carrying your unfulfilled wishes."
