I heard once that fact is stranger than fiction, and even though I felt like I was in the middle of some sort of strange, surreal dream, the facts were all there. I’d met a man in the middle of the street in the dead of night. He’d just appeared out of nowhere. I’d taken him home, slept with him, and then woken up to his accusations that I was taking pills to hide my wolf. My mother corroborated his story and told me her back story. It was unbelievable on the surface—I mean, come on—but I had no choice but to believe it. Both stories lined up in an uncanny way. I could deny it all I wanted, but there had to be some truth to it.

she whispered, pulling me tighter. “A terrible nightmare. I woke up, and you were gone, and there was a storm over the ocean. Some black shadow man made me disappear into the wind,” her voice came out rushed as she gripped me tighter. “What happened? Tell me everything.” Her words had my body stiffen as she explained the story to the very last detail. My fists tightened, angry that I could not even protect her from a dream. Dreams are held in high regard in the supernatural and Celestial world. They can predict the future, have deeper meanings or another god could send a message, even to other gods.

Her Granny found it interesting, she called it a blessing because it had helped the family in so many ways. Juana herself didn't think it was a blessing, she found it really strange and scary. She'd rather not know the future than know and not be able to stop it from happening, the bad parts that is. She remembered having a dream when she was seven. It was a very strange one. Like studying mother's journal, hoping I'll be able to find out something or anything that explains the wierd dreams I've been having. Well aside from the usual one involving Cameron, I've been having more disturbing ones. It different in every dream but only one thing is ever present in all my dreams. A sort of image, it in flashes but I can tell it's a moon, a crescent moon and above it stood a giant wolf and what's worse is it always comes with the same foreign writings in mother's journal. I feel like it's something I'm supposed to know, but I just can't connect the dots. Actually, there are so many dots I still can't connect. Why did Cameron have those papers that was in mother's name?
