When He Reads To Me Book Novels & Stories

I sat close to her before taking the book from her. "Yes." Her answer was firm, she was already getting used to having me around. I opened the book at her response and started reading out the story to her. I watched her from the corner of my eyes. Her eyes beamed with excitement as I flipped each page. "What will happen next?" He could barely hear her voice but the scent of her distress didn't diminish. "Reading lessons will be added to your daily activities. I know my dad keeps some of my favorite childhood books here at the cabin and I'll gladly read them to you. Come with me." His voice had changed from that of a commanding alpha to the tone of a playful boy.

The title alone is enough to make my eyes blurry, I look at him and he still smirks at me. ‘Are you out of your mind?” I ask. “No,” he shrugs innocently, “come on let’s read, you need glasses?” I took a deep breath, I walked right into this one, and I know I did, “Goldilocks and the three bears,” I read aloud, and he burst out laughing. “This is not a romantic book,” I grumble. “Come on stop judging and start reading,” he says, he moves to sit closer to me before laying his head on my shoulder.

I said sure. Now I'm on the other side of the store and he's on the opposite. I'm really starting to believe he's liking this whole book thing. He's been reading a lot of books recently. I opened it to the first page and began reading softly. Noah rested his head on my shoulder, his eyes half-closed, but his lips still smiling.

I bring books today: old stories from my childhood, adventures, romances, anything to distract her from the pain. "Would you like me to read to you?" I ask. She nods, so I sit against the wall beside her, open the first book, and start reading. My voice fills the cell, replacing the silence, the fear, the despair. I read for an hour while she listens without moving, just soaking in the story.

Occasionally, I do take a nap, but that is only when Jack is asleep, or Lord knows what's going to happen. That's it. My dad comes home, we eat whatever it is I make, or order something, and I retreat to my room. Rolling my eyes, I begin to read it repeatedly because he keeps insisting I read it, and I can't say no.

I replied, a rich blush on my cheeks When he was done with his meal, I prepared him for bedtime. After bathing him, I brushed his teeth and wore his pajamas for him. With a burst of excitement, he jumped on the bed, scrambling under the covers with a giggle. “Story time!” He exclaimed, his voice filled with eagerness. Smiling, I sat beside him and brushed his hair. My gaze was fixed on the page of the book, my voice calm and low as I read him a perfect story about animals.
