His mouth was muffled, and I looked at his gleaming eyes and held out my hand. I didn't know that's how he recognized blood clots. I looked at the wet clotting vessels in my hands. "Ahhhh!" He poked his nose into my finger, motioning for me to open the lid. As soon as I pulled back the cap, he lifted his bleeding elbow socket onto the clotting vessel and squeezed it with his other paw just above it. Blood spurted all over my face. But at least it’s down. "Give me the clotting vessel." Claire took the clot from my hand.

He holds onto the counter and clenches his teeth together. Suddenly, there is the taste of rust filling his mouth. He nearly chokes on the blood in shock. He hurriedly spits it out when he suddenly hears a clicking sound coming from the bottom of the sink. Confused, he looks at the basin. Inside it, he sees a tooth mixed with his blood and saliva. Horrified with the scene at the front, he looks at himself in the mirror. His body staggers back in shock. He somehow balances himself by holding tightly onto the sink. His c-canine teeth have fallen out.

I swallowed hard but my throat felt like sandpaper. Owen’s growl filled the entire space and I turned before my brain could catch up with my body. My eyes went wide at the sight before me. Owen, who had only been lowered on one knee seconds ago, was now clutching his leg. His fingers dug into his thigh, white pants turning crimson as blood seeped through the fabric and spilled onto the polished floor. Clara… Clara shot him? The metallic scent of blood hit my nose and something sharp twisted inside my chest.

One moment it was light, almost insignificant, and the next, it was as if my body couldn’t contain it anymore. Yes, I know what you’re probably thinking maybe I was menstruating. That had been my first thought, too. I expected it. But this wasn’t normal. It didn’t feel normal. It was too much and too thick. Today, I had a blood clot. A large, dark clot, heavy and undeniable. It wasn’t just a little bit of blood; it was like I had spilled my entire body’s worth of it onto the bed. I couldn’t stop looking at the stain, knowing it was the evidence of something I couldn’t understand. My stomach churned with fear. This wasn’t right and I am dead scared.

I sneeze on the floor. My breath push dust particles away. I cough again. I cough numerous blood particles. They all splatter on the floor. I groan more. Feels my jaw is broken. I ignore it. I again gaze around. No sign of brother Ron. That's my needed opportunity. I slowly stagger to my feets. My every cuts gradually heals. I forecefully adjust my fractured jaw. It's healing instantly commences. I smile wierdly. I slowly wipe blood particles off my lips.

A reddish, almost blackish, color liquid pours out of the wound. There is so much blood coming out that if they weren’t already dead, I don’t think it would be long before they would be because of that one wound alone. The rest of the hair is matted with blood causing it to clump up into little balls of hair. You can see strands of it laying all over area.

My brain throbbed behind my eyes, and each throb came with a thunderclap of agony. Then my mouth. My mouth was a battlefield. The inside of my lips felt like torn leather. My gums were so swollen I couldn’t close my jaw properly. It felt like my teeth were going to pop out one by one. The metallic taste of blood lingered thick and bitter. My lips were split, one corner had dried blood crusted over it, and every attempt to move them cracked it open again. I wasn’t sure which hurt more: the hammering migraine or the mutilation of my mouth.

Silence. The three of them exchanged looks before facing me. Why did I feel like the abnormal one here? I was just being logical! Maren’s brows furrowed. “No way.” “Yes.” I sighed through my nose and pulled my dress up again. “From here to here.” I tapped at the shape with my finger. “Just a bite. Probably from a fight or something.” Realization dawned on their faces at the same time. “Yeah… I see it now.” Clara cleared her throat. “Well… it does look like a bite.”

I spat out some blood on the floor. “Oh I'm sorry, baby,” Nora cooed behind me, her hands drawing small circles on the small of my back. “You wanna get back at them for this, right?” “Well what do you think?” I pointed out the gap in my mouth where I was now missing two teeth; a canine and an incisor.

Crusted dark green and red blood was covering her entire hairline, ears and forehead, and she had several scratches across her neck. She pulled down the hood from her cloak and Frank could see more crusted blood throughout her hair. He saw what looked like an animal bite near her right collarbone, but her cloak was covering half of it, even if it was shredded in some places.
