The Hunter and the Vampire
As the last petal fell, I shoved the knife towards the nearest vampire with all of my strength.
The blade never made contact with his flesh. My hands were caught and yanked behind my back, and I struggled against them, even as the switchblade was deftly pulled from my fingers. My only weapon was gone, and my fists were useless bound behind me.
“Let go of me,” I grunted, swinging my shoulders back and forth.
“No chance,” said Alice sweetly, her lips brushing against my neck. I shuddered. “You really shouldn’t have stabbed me, little hunter,” she murmured, and then she bit.
