Viola stammered, frantically wiping the water from her eyes as she scrambled backward against the headboard. Her mother took a sharp step into the room, her face twisted with a terrifying rage. "How dare you." Viola’s chest heaved. She looked at her mother’s furious expression, her mind racing. "What? I don't—" "The forbidden wing, Viola," her mother cut in, her voice dropping into a deadly hiss. "Everyone in this house knows the rule. Or are you just trying to be a fool? You dared to go up there?" Viola froze. The remaining air vanished from her lungs.

My cock went limp as though it hadn’t been hard a second ago, and Warg merged and threw Viola against the wall as she attempted to forcefully sink her teeth into my neck. “Dark…..” She called out my name, but I let Warg do whatever the fuck he wanted to do to her; he choked her, lifted her up while choking her, her legs shaking uncontrollably in the air, and Warg threw her against one of the poles. Viola took in her surroundings and realized it wasn’t me, but the king. Her pupils dilated, and she made a feeble attempt to flee, but it was to no avail. “I’m sorry... Drew had been practicing for years as most of us do and he barely had his claws out when I got there. Viola stopped in front of her house as though debating on whether she would go in or not. Abruptly she turned and went the other way, her eyes looked red from here. ‘That must be her wolf on the surface, get over there now you idiot!’ Duban yelled in my head forcing my limbs to her quickly. I easily caught up to her fading figure. “Viola, what’s wrong?” She had slumped against a tree trying to calm down her breathing. Her eyes glowed red as she pulled at the grass.

I grinned, “Sure mom.” “Dinner is in the oven,” she picked up her lesson books, “Sadly we won’t be done for dinner so please eat without us.” I shook my head, “Ok.” She blew a kiss and left, I slouched my shoulders and headed to my room. Even though she said she’d talk to him again… I knew she wasn’t going to, she never does. I closed my door and placed my violin in the closet along with my other three instruments, which included a flute, a cello, and a small piano. I changed into my black satin pajamas then snatched up my diary from my desk and plopped on my bed, opening my ice cream bar I began to write:

“Still cute when you’re drunk.” A memory hits me out of nowhere. Viola drunk, barefoot on my bed, singing five different love songs off-key for hours. Just standing on the mattress, doing little twirls and holding an invisible mic. The next morning she couldn’t talk. Said her throat felt like sandpaper. My lips twitch at the memory. She starts to walk away and I follow her, because what the hell else am I supposed to do? “Vi, do you even know where you’re going?”

She smiles through tears, tearing an heartwrecking sob from me at how soft her voice is, how it washes over me, how despite everything I have done she still smiles at me, they all do. "Look at me, Viola." She says, and I do. "Do this." She instructs, and I do as she say, fisting my hand and placing it on my chest. "Hold on." She says, and I nod through tears. "Hold on a little longer for us, please." She pleas, and I nod, softly hitting my heart with my fist. "You've always taken care of us, Viola, it is time we do the same." Xav says and I nod.

Vivian’s POV Confronted with my inquisitive question, Albert's crimson lips curved upward. Though I couldn't glimpse his eyes, I was almost certain he awaited my verbalization of this query. "Because I'm using a unique flute, only witches can perceive my melody and werewolves are incapable of detecting it," Albert silently approached me, his presence virtually devoid of sound. He raised his hand, a flute nestled in his palm, "Vivian, this is for you."

He smiled when he saw her smiling. “Okay. And come soon.” She bit her lip giving him a suggestive look and then turned to leave. Brishor rubbed his chest and wondered when he would mark her. The girl stirred his feelings like no other woman. He turned back to where Viola was and then after watching her doing some more cleaning, he snapped his fingers. The magic that she was surrounded with, cracked. Viola’s eyes grew wide when she saw herself in such a state. She shrieked as she threw the broom down and then looked at herself. Her dress was covered with horse dung and there were dried patches of it on her skin.

I cannot hide the curiosity in my voice. Alma sighs deeply and appears rather troubled. “Yes, one of our warriors feels that Viola is his mate; however, she is not convinced that he is suitable husband material.” As Alma finishes speaking her words finally dawn on me and its as if a giant lightbulb finally turns on in my brain. “Alma” I try to keep my voice calm and steady. “Are you saying that the witch is still within your pack lands?” I can see the hesitation in her and I understand the awkward situation that she is in. She continues to struggle a few more minuets before reaching a decision that she is comfortable with.
