Feral wolves who attack without a reason or prior warning. I turned towards the forest,my eyes searching for Alexander. As I ran towards the fray,a chilling realization stopped me cold. Underneath it, the word ‘unclear’ was written. They all glanced through more books, each having just one page of useful information. Deciding to study so my grades don't completely tank, but when I look at my nightstand, I frown. There are many stacks of magazines that I recognize as Ashley's, but one question lingers in my mind: Why are all those books about seducing man-wolves? "There's even a book about how to be a she-wolf who is attractive and arousing to an Alpha… Is she a werewolf fan? But why did she—" I pause mid-sentence as the neighbor’s window opens. I notice that it's opened by a girl wearing glasses, but what catches my attention is the guy sitting on the long sofa: It's Nicholas!

It spotted a large black mark, as if something so strong had hit that side of the wall. Maybe that was the impact of the attack. But what exactly was it? Beside the same mark was a drawer, I opened it and it was a book full of drawings. From what I knew, she said wasn't schooled like most of us were , so how exactly could she read and write and draw? The book had disturbing images of wolves ,way bigger than normal ,their color, rare and emanating a certain aura of energy. I decided to keep it. I need answers , and I will surely get it.

As I took small bites of my meal, my mind wandered back to the book's descriptions. When breakfast was finally over, I excused myself politely and headed back to the garden. I retrieved the book from its hiding place and found a secluded spot where I could read in peace. The more I read, the more I realized how much had been lost to history. The white wolves were not the monsters they had been made out to be. They were beings of incredible power and kindness, who had only sought to live in harmony with others.

I couldn’t blame those whose feelings for me were complicated, but I could certainly avoid them. I was holed up in the library enjoying a cup of dandelion tea. In my research I had come across accounts of waking dormant wolves, but most of them sounded more like exorcising the devil out of someone than helping them bring back their power. Emily knew she had to be bold and do what she had been pondering for days now. She made up her mind to venture out and meet the wolf, even though she was aware of the grave risks involved. I searched through the colorful book for more pictures until they were through while waiting for her to return. Soon I started on another book in the box. Unfortunately, most of the books were just words, and I could not read them yet. As I was about to give up searching for more books with pictures, I found one. I opened it, and I was surprised to see what it was all about. I couldn't read, but the picture of a white wolf with the same marking as mine allowed me to know that this book was not any ordinary book. It was a book about my pack, The River Pack Members.

I scowl at it. If Ragnar thinks I'm going to play his game, then he's grossly mistaken. I make way for the bathroom, but my hand brushes over the shelf, knocking a book down. I'm about to pick it up and toss it back in the shelf when I stop, looking at the open page. An image of a hooded man, dressed in a black coat, swinging a scythe in one hand stares back at me. "The tale of the three wolf packs..." I whisper, reading the caption underneath.
