Endless love
Sophia returned to the interior of the hospital; she felt responsible for the well-being of the women, after all, she was the one who started the commotion.
The heat was unbearable; the flames climbed up the walls, illuminating the sky. The desperate screams of the injured and frightened patients mingled with the shouts of the nurses. The gate leading to the solitary confinement cells was locked, and she knew there was no more time. Control of the fire and smoke had been lost.
Many women managed to escape; others lost their lives, some suffocated by the smoke, others burned to death. Help was slow to arrive, and when it finally did, little could be done. Everything was in flames.
