Hehe, I'm sure some of you thinks she's just a cranky old lady, but she is one of my favorite additions to the cast and kind of my own way to vent against certain aspects of my own characters, lmao. In other words, she allows me to whine on Jace and I love it. • Why the short chapters? When I first started writing back in 2018, I use to make MEGA long chapters and I mean, INSANELY long! My first book, Laws of the Pack, had an average of around 5000 words per chapter which lead me to have very frequent writer blocks since I had to constantly think of extra text or out of no where context to fill up the gaps. I contacted the publishing house immediately to send my whole novel to them. My novel is not that long, so my editing process didn’t take too long, plus I focused on that in order not to waste the day. The novel has 52 chapters including the prologue and epilogue.

I heard her inhale and exhale and then she calmly waved me goodbye and ended the call. Walking my peanut butter to the sitting room, I picked up my laptop and turned it on, quickly loading up my Microsoft app. My gaze dripped to the word count and I felt a split surge of surprise mixed with panic at the number of words that were staring back at me. I'd thought I'd written more than that. It took me a while to get back into my character's headspace but my fingers typed away after I had achieved that feat. I'd added more than three thousand words by the time I became a little spent. And my sandwich had remained untouched through it all.

I write between 7,000-11,000 words every week for this story, so this averages out to about equal to or more than other stories. It takes me 3-5 hours to write one chapter. As I cannot add more hours to my day, I will not update more often
