Sky's P.O.V. "Fine, I'll stay with you at your apartment as a friend. I won't cross any boundaries, I promise. But I need to be there for you. You've been through so much, and I can't let you face it alone, Trouble. Please let me stay with you."

Just as quietly, she said, "She is. I'm pretty sure she was born in hell or at least raised by them." "Great." My meat and two veg curled up inside my body. "You promise to come back and save me?" I asked in a soft, strained voice. She rubbed a hand over my blanketed arm. "I won't leave you, Lukas. I promise," she vowed quietly. "And how will you know when you find this guy?" This was the part of the plan I was still fuzzy on.
