Heartless Tears

Chapter 1

**Damon's POV**

"Oh my goodness....fuck me harder baby...that's right....I'm all yours baby...fuck me harder..." These were the words I heard as I walked into the house.

Those moans were coming from upstairs, I and my mate's bedroom.

My heart clenched tightly at the sound of my mate's voice, I didn't want to believe that was her, she was my mate, I didn't want to believe that she would do this to me, but I still had to see for myself.

My legs felt weak, but I had to force myself to walk upstairs. I got to our bedroom and I could still hear her loud moans.

Slowly, I pushed open the door and I was greeted with a sight that shattered my heart into pieces, a sight that broke my whole world, there on our bed was my mate and my younger brother having sex!

My whole body trembled, my knees felt so weak, I placed a hand on my beating heart as my knees dropped to the floor.

The sound of my knees hitting the floor attracted them and they both turned to look at me.

I could see the shocked expression on their faces and the only thing I could ask myself was "How long? How long has this been going on? How long have they been betraying me?"

To my utmost surprise, the look on their faces changed, only to be replaced by a smile.

Lucas got off Kiara and he came down from the bed, his manhood was literally danglingly with every move he made, while Kiara used to duvet to cover her nakedness.

"Nice of you to join us brother," Lucas grinned.

"How could you? How could the both of you do this to me?" I questioned as I looked at them with so much pain in my heart. Words couldn't explain the amount of pain I'm going through at the moment.

Words couldn't describe the pain in my heart.

These were the people I love and cherish so much.

Lucas laughed, he picked up his shorts from the floor and wore it.

"Well brother, since you already found out about us, what's the need to keep the secret we've been hiding for a very long time?"

I tried getting up, but I was too weak to do so, even my wolf was shattered, I could do nothing but just kneel as I looked at them.

"I and Kiara have been a couple even before you found out she was your mate," Lucas said.

"What?" I muttered in shock.

"Yes dear brother, we've been together for a very long time and it was only useless that the moon goddess paired you with her instead of me," Lucas spat.

"But nevertheless, you finding out she was your mate didn't stop us from being together, Kiara and I love each other so much and there was never a possibility of letting go,"

"Why!" I yelled.

"Why did you hide this from me? Why didn't you tell me this in the first place?" I cried out.

Lucas scoffed.

"Would you have let her go if we had told you the truth? Would you have rejected her as your mate?" Lucas questioned.

I couldn't find the answers to his question, I love Kiara so much and I didn't think it would have been possible for me to let her go, I didn't think I would have been able to reject her.

"See? Your silence says it all, you wouldn't have been able to do that,"

I wanted to say something but I got chocked and began coughing loudly, blood spilled from my mouth and I was more than shocked to see that.

"Oh wow, it's about time it took its effect," Lucas said.

Kiara used the duvet to wrap herself and then she got down from the bed to stand beside Lucas.

"W what do you mean?" I managed to ask.

My whole body felt hot and I was literally struggling to breath.

"Well Damon," Kiara said.

"I've been adding some powdered silver to your meal for a long time now, just a little because I didn't want you to die quickly, and that's the silver taking its effect, with you gone, I and my love will be able to live as we please and now Lucas will stand a better chance of becoming the alpha of this pack," Kiara chuckled.

Lucas pulled her close to himself and he kissed her passionately.

The tears streamed down my cheeks uncontrollably.

"Y you poisoned me?" I chocked.

I placed a hand on my heart as the pain began to get even more intense, I coughed loudly and more blood spilled from my mouth.

"What's the big deal there? We want you out of the way brother and permanently,"

Lucas took slow strides towards me and then he kicked my stomach so hard.

I fell to the floor, groaning and writhing in pains. "What have I done to deserve this?,"

"I just want you out of the way Damon, ever since we were little, you're the one who always gets everything, I've done so much to secure the position as the alpha of this pack but it was all useless!" Lucas spat.

"You can't even begin to imagine the things I've done to be the alpha, our father and mother had always loved you the most, they gave you so much attention more than me,"

"And that's why I had to eliminate them," Lucas laughed.

"And that's why I had to eliminate them," The words rang in my ears repeatedly.

I can't believe this, all this while I thought our parents were killed by a rouge, I never imagined that Lucas was the one behind their deaths.

"No, no, why did you do this Lucas? Why?" I screamed in pain.

"Oh please, spare me those questions, how many times should I tell you the reason?"

Lucas walked to the table at one side of the room and he picked up a silver dagger, then he walked back to me.

"I can't wait to get rid of you brother," He smirked.

"This pack should be ready to welcome their new alpha!" Lucas said in a loud voice.

He got on one knee and looked deeply into my eyes.

My mouth couldn't form the words I wished to say, I have lost my voice, there's so much that I want to say, I want to yell at them, I want to punish them for their betrayal, there's so much I want to do, but my entire body felt so weak, I can't even feel my wolf anymore, the silver has fully taken its effect on me, my whole body felt numb.

"Goodbye brother," Lucas bade with an evil smirk.

He lift the dagger up high before bringing it down to my heart.

"This dagger won't be taken out of your body, you'll be buried with this dagger pierced deep into your heart," Lucas said with gritted teeth as he plunged the dagger even deep into my heart.

"You'll one day pay for this betrayal, I promise you," I managed to say.

In only one night, one terrible, terrible night, things changed. My world came crumbling down. Those I thought I could lean on, those I loved and trusted, betrayed me. If it's possible, I would ask for another chance at life, another chance to right the wrong, another chance to pay my enemies, another chance to avenge what has been done to me, I want another chance to live again, I want to live again.

"Grant me one more chance to live again moon goddess," These were my last words before resigning to death.
