"Get out of my room!"

Maya Marie shouted, closing her door to her parents' faces.

"Maya Marie, just do this for us."

Her mother said. Knocking gently at her door.

"No mum. You only think about yourself. I'm not really caring about my feelings."

Maya Marie said while sobbing under her sheet.

"Get out of that room right now. Our future lay in your hand, and you must marry Ray Brown. And it's not an option for you."

Her father shouted while pointing his hand to her door.

"No, dad. Why don't you ask for my consent before setting me up with someone else.

You all know I love Mark Wilson so much, and I can't trade him for anything. "

"Don't tell me you are still in love with that boy after all what he did to you." He replied with an angry voice

"Please, Maya, do this for us. Just marry Ray Brown to save our company. " Her mother said.

"Noooo!!"Maya shouted.

Everything went quiet until Maya heard the fading footsteps of her parents.

She picks up her mobile phone and contacts Mark Wilson.

Phone Rings ********

"Hello Mark,"

"Hello Maya. "

"Can we meet up this evening for some drinks and a cool talk?"Maya asked with a shaking voice.

"Okay, Maya.Anything for you."

6:00 PM

I hope my parents will be sleeping at this time.She said to herself as she stood up from her bed, took off her clothes, and went into the bath house. She turned the tap nub and filled the bath tap with water.She then took off the towel from around her waist and settled into the bath tab.She breathed a sigh of relief as she had a reflection of some of the beautiful moments she spent with Mark Wilso.

Hmm*****

"I don't really know how I'll be about to confront Mark about this because I know he won't take it lightly. "She said,

Immersing herself completely into the water.

Two minutes passed.

She came back up and went out of the bath tap with a sad face. She pulled her towel from the door nub and kept it around her chest.She then walked straight to her wardrobe and put on the first dress she sighted.She walked up to the mirror and applied some makeup while styling her hair.Being assured her parents were asleep, she went into her car and drove up to a fancy restaurant where they both agreed to meet.She arrived an hour before the decided time as she wanted to take it to the discussion on time. Upon arrival, she saw Mark Wilson kissing another lady.With her eyes wide open from shock, she walked up to their table and pulled Mark out.

"Hey, stop! "

Mark shouted.

"Maya, I said stop. You are embarrassing me."

She stopped at a corner location near the hotel. Slightly cleaning a tear from the corner of her eyes.

"Mark Wilson, I can see that you have already found love in a different person all together. Do you know the interesting part?I will be getting married to the CEO of Lynx group soon."

With a shocked experience *****

"What did you say?.After all that we had for five years

You are just telling me you are going to get married to a totally Stranger who u haven't met before?."

***There is a sudden period of silence***

Ray held Maya by her shoulders.

And shouted. Why are you quite Maya? Just tell me all that you said isn't true.

****Still silence*****

Ray broke down into tires, but Maya loosened his grip and moved away silently, trying to hide her tires and pain.

"Maya Maya Maya!"

Ray called out in a painful tone.

Without turning back, Maya walked into her car and drove away.She stopped at a nearby club to drink out her anger.

"Waiter!"

Get me three bottles of whisky. Maya said with a broken voice.

"Okay lady,"

The waiter said.

He returned with three bottles of whiskey and a glass cup.

"Thank you." She said calmly as she picked up the bottle and poured some into the cup.She drank one bottle after another until she became drunk.

"Hey Waiter, C-o-m-e o-v-e-r h-e-r-e. "

She said, as if she was still learning how to speak as she said each word carefully one after the other.

"lady, How may I help you."

"T-h-i-s i-s y-o-u-r p-a-y-m-e-n-t f-o-r t-h-e t-h-r-e-e b-o-t-t-l-e-s.

Y-o-u c-a-n k-e-e-p t-h-e c-h-a-n-g-e."

"Lady, should I support you?" He asked

"Y-e-s, m-y c-a-r i-s p-a-r-k-e-d o-u-t-s-i-d-e." She replied,

"Okay, lady." he said as he tried supporting her from her chair to her car.

Upon reaching her car, he realised she couldn't drive the car home, so he took the initiative to drive her home.

****Car pulls over***

He helps her out of the car.

Her parents were worried about her as her mother went to check up on her in her bedroom but she was nowhere to be found. When they heard the sound of the car pulling over, therushedOurout only to see their daughter drunk. Her mother rushed to hold her while her father just stood there with a cold expression.

"W-o-u-l-d I h-a-v-e t-o d-o a-l-l t-h-i-s?

M-a-y-a a-s-k-e-d h-e-r m-o-t-h-e-r.

W-o-u-l-d I h-a-v-e t-o m-a-r-r-y s-o-m-e-o-n-e I d-o-n't e-v-e-n k-n-o-w?" maya asked.

Her mother was quiet.

She dragged her into the house and took her into her room.

"Maya, I know you don't want to do all this, but you would have to do it for your family. I did the same thing for your dad, which was why you were able to enjoy all the luxury you had when growing up.I've known Ray Brown and his family for a long time, and there is no doubt they would treat you very well when you are married into their family.We won't allow you to get married to someone who is not good for you because we love you so much."

When she was done speaking, Maya was already fast asleep.

She woke up the next morning to an empty room, confused about how she got home from last night.

She woke up from her bed, removed her clothes, and put a towel around herself.

She then went into the bath tap to have a warm bath.

In the process of this, she started having flashbacks from what had happened the day before.

She got out of the bath tap, put on her clothes, and walked downstairs for breakfast.

She walked down to the dining table where her parents were already settled.She greeted them.

"Good morning."

They stared at her and continued having their meal.

The whole table was quiet throughout

the meal until her father broke the silence .
