PROLOGUE - The Plan

Erica's POV

I stepped out of the taxi and looked at the house in front of me. It's not as big and beautiful as my grandfather's mansion but it's already enough to be called home. This is way better than living in jail for 7 years.

The front door opened and Silver came out, she ran towards me with a big smile on her face. "You're finally here!" she exclaimed as she gave me a hug. She still has her charming look and sweet voice, just like how I remember her the last time she visited me in jail.

Silver is my bestfriend and she became my eyes and ears to my family for the past 7 years that I'm in jail. She helped me so much with everything.

We went inside of her house and continued our conversation about my plan. "So, I have found our first target," she declared as we sit on the couch of her living room.

"Who is he?" I asked

"His name is Klyde Aero Morrison. A multi-billionaire man and a VERY successful CEO of his own company," she stated

Just as I thought that she was done, she exclaimed, "And! He. Is. So. Hot! and absolutely---Handsome!" she shrieked

I almost covered my ears because of her high pitch voice. "I'm looking for someone who can help me, not a boyfriend-material," I complain

"Yeah. Yeah. I know that. But just consider his hotness as a bonus," she teased

I took a deep sigh. "You think he can help me?" I asked

"Absolutely!" she answered. "He would definitely help you!--- I think? Hehe. But! I know---I can feel it. That he's the one who can help you," she confidently said

"And if he didn't help me?" I asked just to make sure that were having a Plan B in case this failed.

After seconds of being silence she finally answered, "Then we'll go start looking for another guy." I just nodded.

"Tonight, he's going to the bar because he's meeting some people there," she announced

"Looks like you've gone through deep research about this man," I interrupted

She scoffed, "You know me. I'm the best," she proudly said as she touched her chest. She praised herself.

She saw me rolling my eyeballs. "Can't you just tell me that I did a great job?" she complain, arching her right eyebrows at me

I laugh a bit because of her reaction. "Yeah. You did a GOOD job," I tease, emphasizing the word 'good' to annoy her more

"Good?!" she exclaimed, I was starting to laugh. "I did a GREAT job. I was GREAT," she defended

I burst into laughter because of her reaction. "I was just teasing, Silver. Calm down," I said

"You did a great job," I complimented her

"That's right," she proudly said

"Hey. Let's go shopping later. I need to buy some new clothes for tonight," I changed our topic.

"To-night? What's up tonight?" she asked, completely clueless

"I'm going to introduce myself to that Klyde Morrison," I said in a tone that makes her remember what she said earlier about that Klyde having a meeting at the bar.

"Woah! Woah!" she reacted surprisedly. "Aren't you gonna get some rest first before you proceed with your plan?" she asked

I shrugged my head to say 'No'. "I've waited almost 7 years for this moment to come, that's why I won't waste any second just to get my revenge," I confidently said making up my mind

I've been stuck in jail for 7 years because of a crime that I didn't commit. And now that I'm free, all I wanted is revenge for the injustice that has happened to me. They're so gonna pay for it. But of course, as of now, I'm still lack of power. That's why I need help.

I saw Silver nodded because of amusement to my courage. "So, shopping later?" she giggled

"Yup!" I replied. "I've got a man to impress."
