Erica's POV
"Welcome, madam." A man dressed in a black suit opened the door for me. I gave him a smile and went inside. This is my first time to be in the bar after being imprisoned for 7 years.
I'm wearing a maroon off-shoulder crop top, a high waisted fitted jeans, and also my newly buyed black ankle strap heels.
The whole place is quite dark and covered with flashing disco lights. A lot of people are making noises, some are dancing, many are drinking wines and alcohol, while other couples are kissing. I looked for the stairs that would led me to the second floor. Based on Silver, the second floor of this bar is for VIP's only, and according to her, Klyde Aero Morrison is always a VIP in this bar.
I was about to take my first step to the stairs when somebody grasped my elbow. When I turned to the person, it was a big man looking like a butler or something. He was wearing a black suit and black shades.
"Maam, the second floor is for VIP's only. Are you a VIP?" he asked with his deep manly voiceFor the moment, I use my brain and think. If I say No, they wouldn't let me in, but if I say Yes they would definitely look for some ID or proof that I'am a VIP.
Aha! I know!
"Is Klyde Morrison upstairs? He invited me," I lied but I make sure that I sound convincingImmediately, he let go of my elbow and apologize. "Sorry, madam. Mister Morrison is upstairs."
He bowed at me when I started to walk towards the stairs. Phew! That was close---and also easy to overcome.
When I reached the second floor it was just like in the first floor, many people are in here too, dancing, drinking, laughing, flirting, and kissing. I can feel the essence of the VIP persons. I can really see that all people here are rich, succesful millionaires, businessman and businesswomen.
I let my eyes have a look around to search for Klyde Morrison, I would definitely find him cause earlier Silver showed me his picture. I immediately spotted him all alone sitting at a couch, at the corner of the bar, away from people.
So he's kinda like a loner or something? I thought
I walk towards his direction, I can feel some eyes following me as I walk my path but I didn't mind them.I was already near to his couch, when two butlers blocked my way. "Where are you going, miss?" one of the butlers asked
So Klyde Morrison is surrounded by bodyguards, huh? This wouldn't be too easy.
"I'm heading to Klyde Morrison. That's him, right?" I pointed at the man on their back, sitting like a big boss while being busy with his phone."He's meeting somebody, it's not you. Go away," the other butler commanded
My eyes squinted as my eyebrows met each other. "I'm just going to talk to him. I'm not doing anything! Do I look like a terrorist or something?!" I exclaimed
They both stared at me from head to toe. "No. You don't look like a terrorist," the first butler answered
"Well then, let me through," I commanded as I tried to push their bodies out of my way, but it didn't work. Their bodies are as hard as a rock.I saw their face became serious. "We only take commands from our master," they chorused"Oh yeah?" I smirked
I started to jump and call for Klyde Morrison's attention. "Hey! Sir! Klyde Morrison! Hey!" I yelled while waving my hands up in the air so he can see me. Good thing it's noisy in the bar so my yell wouldn't be too recognizable for others.
"Miss, just go away," said the second butler
"Too late, boys," I smirk as I saw Klyde notice me
"Let her be," I heard him say. As quick as The Flash, the two butlers move out of my way so I could walk towards their 'master'I stood in front of Klyde Morrison, leaving a one meter space between us. He was sitting on the couch with his legs crossed. He's wearing a gray long sleeve polo with the first button being unbottoned. He put his phone down to the mini table in front of him, then he grab the glass of wine and take a zip from it.
He keeps his eyes staring at the glass of wine he's holding. "What do you want?" He's voice is so manly but at the same time sexy. I could see the half of his face, while the other half is being covered with the dark shadows of the bar."Can we talk?" I asked
He look directly to my eyes and it made me feel chills all over my body. "What do you think are we doing right now?" he asked with sarcasm
"Right," I mumbled. "This might take a while. Are you busy?" I asked
I watch him take a zip from his wine again. After drinking, he put the glass of wine at the mini table, then he layed his back to the couch, looking at me like judging my appearance."I'm always busy. Just go straight to the point. I have other important things to do rather than having a chit-chat with some kind of a stranger," he said, directly hitting me with his words.
I decided to cut of any nonsense and just tell him what I wanted. "I want you to help me." I gather all my courage just to say those six words.
"Pardon?" he asked
I took a deep breath before I speak once again, "I want you to help me." I made my voice even louder this time so he could clearly hear it.
I saw his eyebrows met each other. "Help?" he asked.Erica's POVI sit beside him without any permission, of course I leave 2 rulers space between us.He turnes to me, "You must be so brave to sit beside me without my invitation," he hissed."Yeah. Yeah. I got your point. But I can't stand on shouting again and again while having a conversation, when I could just sit beside you so we can hear each other better," I defended.I see no reaction to his face so I buzz in my favor. "I've heard that you're a very successful billionaire and you have a company of your own," I started."If you're here for money, how much do you need?" he bumped inI was shocked. "What? No, no, no," I defense, but after a few seconds I just realize that my favor actually has to deal with some money."Well, uhmm---yes. Maybe? But! I promise you that I would pay you after you help me," I assured him."So what kind of help do you need?" he asked with a boring tone.I took a deep breath befor
Erica's POV"I can't help you with that. I mean it's such a big favor," he refused. He stood up and left the cafe, completely leaving me alone here. I looked at the glass wall and watch him drove away with his car.Timothy Jones. Failed. He was the fifth guy that I approach just this week, and he also refused just like what the other guys did. Looks like lady luck isn't with me.I already had five failures. Should I keep on going? When I got back at Silver's house, I immediately go to my room and sat down at my bed. Five failures. This is way harder than I thought it would be. My fifth failure leds me to so much questions and conclusions. What if no one else would be interested with me and would be willing to help me? What if I should just take my revenge from scratch? On my own?Urgh! I'm literally being thirsty for revenge. Can anyone blame me? My own aunt and uncle had crossed the line too much and I was being punished
Erica's POV It tooked me one week to prepare for this plan. I visited the salon yesterday to dyed my hair red, like the Weasley's hair in Harry Potter. I also brought red fake bangs to use it for my disguise. And also from now on, I will not wear any make up so I would look stressed and unrecognizable, but I need to wear contact lense to make my eyes look blue even though their brown. And Silver's boyfriend helped me create new and fake documents about me. I even changed my name, from Erica Roberts to Aila Miller. My new name and my fake documents helped me get a job at my grandpa's company, I applied as a janitress. To be exact, today is my first day at work. "Don't stare too much to someone you know." I remember the words that Silver said before I leave her house. I'm at the lounge area of my grandpa's construction company, sitting on the couch while waiting for someone to assist me. I always keep my head down and avoid having long ey
Erica's POV I spent my break time with Eirin. We went to a nearby cafe and have a chit-chat, to know each other more. "So why did you apply being a janitress when you can be a model somewhere?" she asked out of the blue. "Model?" I asked narrowing my eyebrows. "Yeah. A model. Duh! You're beautiful, Aila," she complimented. I smiled a bit. "I'm not," I said as I looked down to my coffee. I'm maintaining the usual attitude of Aila Miller, the quiet, cold, and shy type women whose just a janitress at a successful company. She chuckled. "Come on, Aila. You're way better than that look of yours. You want me to give you a makeover?" she asked. I raised my head up and looked at her. "No. No." I immediately refuse, shaking my head wildly. If she gave me a makeover, the real Erica Roberts will show up amd my disguise as Aila Miller would be wasted. "Why not?" she asked. "I don't like makeover's," I shortly replied as
Erica's POV My shift ended at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. I rest at Silver's house and waited until the clock strikes 6 o'clock. Were celebrating today and Eirin said that were all having a dinner at Arvo Corner. "If ever you would drink alcohol, don't get drunk." Silver reminded me for the fifth time. She was so worried that maybe we would drink alcoholic drinks and I would get drunk too much and reveal my true identity to all of them. "Yeah. Just relax, okay? I'm not getting drunk. Were having dinner together, not getting drunk together," I assured her. After I take a shower I immediately put on my clothes. I only wear a simple t-shirt topped with a leather jacket since it's cold tonight, jeans and a pair or flat sandals. I got my purse and say goodbye to Silver whose busy designing some gowns. She's a successful fashion designer. After twenty minutes of riding a taxi, I reached the Arvo Corner. I immediately saw my co-janitresses standing outside t
Erica's POV "Aila." "Aila." I slowly opened my eyes and saw Jessica sitting on the frontseat of a car while looking at me. I looked around and saw another guy---Matthew? Oh shoot! "Did I fell a sleep?" I asked as I recall what happened earlier. Jessica chuckled, "Yeah. You did." I was surprise when I saw that Eirin was not sitting beside me anymore. She's gone. "Where's Eirin?" I asked again. "We dropped her off already," Matthew answered, I nod my head as response. "Now, I have to go. Sir Matthew will drive you home, Aila. He's a good guy don't worry," Jessica said with a smile. "I didn't say that he's a bad guy," I responded Jessica chuckled again. "Goodbye! Thank you, sir! Bye Aila." Those were the words that she said before she got of the car and ran inside her house. So...it's just the two of us. "Aila, you can move at the frontseat," Matthew broke the silence. "M-move? I'm a
Erica's POV"Aila! Wait!"I immediately stopped my legs from running and turned around to Matthew who called me."Y-your cleaning supplies. You left it." I was surprised and embarassed as hell as I saw Matthew got out of the elevator, carying my supplies and materials.I immediately ran towards him. "I'm really sorry. I must be out of my mind," I apologize, bowing my head. I immediately grab my supplies from him and carry it using my own two hands."No worries," he said with a smile. Can the floor open up and swallow me?! This is so embarassing! I ran away from them but forgot my supplies. Urgh! How stupid can I go?!"Tch."I caught a glance at Klyde Morrison who stepped out of the elevator and walked pass through us. But I swear I saw him smirked at me."Hey. Klyde. Let's go there together," Matthew offered.I turn around to Klyde and he actually agreed. "I don't mind.""Gotta go, Aila. Take care," Matthew
Erica's POVIt's been two days since I cleaned Aunt Rosett's office. I didn't steal the documents of Madeline and Alisson West because they would suspect that I stole it, so I just use my phone and take pictures of it."Erica, I got a news from Tyler!" I was lying in bed and resting when Silver came to my room, rushing. "About Alisson!"I immediately sit and looked at her. "What about her? Did Tyler found out who is she?" I asked. Tyler is a Private Investigator that's why it's easier for him to look for someone's profile and life background."According to Tyler, Alisson West was a former employee at Enril's construction---your grandpa's--- but then she got into an accident and police claimed that she died."I suddenly feel upset. "So she's dead already? Argh! I thought she was the one who can help me.""I'm not done yet," she smirked that made me frowned at her. "Tyler couldn't talk to Sargent Samuel--- who was in charge in that case--- bec
