CHAPTER 1 - The Man

Erica's POV

"Welcome, madam." A man dressed in a black suit opened the door for me. I gave him a smile and went inside.

This is my first time to be in the bar after being imprisoned for 7 years.

I'm wearing a maroon off-shoulder crop top, a high waisted fitted jeans, and also my newly buyed black ankle strap heels.

The whole place is quite dark and covered with flashing disco lights. A lot of people are making noises, some are dancing, many are drinking wines and alcohol, while other couples are kissing. I looked for the stairs that would led me to the second floor. Based on Silver, the second floor of this bar is for VIP's only, and according to her, Klyde Aero Morrison is always a VIP in this bar.

I was about to take my first step to the stairs when somebody grasped my elbow. When I turned to the person, it was a big man looking like a butler or something. He was wearing a black suit and black shades.

"Maam, the second floor is for VIP's only. Are you a VIP?" he asked with his deep manly voice

For the moment, I use my brain and think. If I say No, they wouldn't let me in, but if I say Yes they would definitely look for some ID or proof that I'am a VIP.

Aha! I know!

"Is Klyde Morrison upstairs? He invited me," I lied but I make sure that I sound convincing

Immediately, he let go of my elbow and apologize. "Sorry, madam. Mister Morrison is upstairs."

He bowed at me when I started to walk towards the stairs. Phew! That was close---and also easy to overcome.

When I reached the second floor it was just like in the first floor, many people are in here too, dancing, drinking, laughing, flirting, and kissing. I can feel the essence of the VIP persons. I can really see that all people here are rich,  succesful millionaires, businessman and businesswomen.

I let my eyes have a look around to search for Klyde Morrison, I would definitely find him cause earlier Silver showed me his picture. I immediately spotted him all alone sitting at a couch, at the corner of the bar, away from people.

So he's kinda like a loner or something? I thought

I walk towards his direction, I can feel some eyes following me as I walk my path but I didn't mind them.

I was already near to his couch, when two butlers blocked my way. "Where are you going, miss?" one of the butlers asked

So Klyde Morrison is surrounded by bodyguards, huh? This wouldn't be too easy.

"I'm heading to Klyde Morrison. That's him, right?" I pointed at the man on their back, sitting like a big boss while being busy with his phone.

"He's meeting somebody, it's not you. Go away," the other butler commanded

My eyes squinted as my eyebrows met each other. "I'm just going to talk to him. I'm not doing anything! Do I look like a terrorist or something?!" I exclaimed

They both stared at me from head to toe. "No. You don't look like a terrorist," the first butler answered

"Well then, let me through," I commanded as I tried to push their bodies out of my way, but it didn't work. Their bodies are as hard as a rock.

I saw their face became serious. "We only take commands from our master," they chorused

"Oh yeah?" I smirked

I started to jump and call for Klyde Morrison's attention. "Hey! Sir! Klyde Morrison! Hey!" I yelled while waving my hands up in the air so he can see me. Good thing it's noisy in the bar so my yell wouldn't be too recognizable for others.

"Miss, just go away," said the second butler

"Too late, boys," I smirk as I saw Klyde notice me

"Let her be," I heard him say. As quick as The Flash, the two butlers move out of my way so I could walk towards their 'master'

I stood in front of Klyde Morrison, leaving a one meter space between us. He was sitting on the couch with his legs crossed. He's wearing a gray long sleeve polo with the first button being unbottoned. He put his phone down to the mini table in front of him, then he grab the glass of wine and take a zip from it.

He keeps his eyes staring at the glass of wine he's holding. "What do you want?" He's voice is so manly but at the same time sexy. I could see the half of his face, while the other half is being covered with the dark shadows of the bar.

"Can we talk?" I asked

He look directly to my eyes and it made me feel chills all over my body. "What do you think are we doing right now?"  he asked with sarcasm

"Right," I mumbled. "This might take a while. Are you busy?" I asked

I watch him take a zip from his wine again. After drinking, he put the glass of wine at the mini table, then he layed his back to the couch, looking at me like judging my appearance.

"I'm always busy. Just go straight to the point. I have other important things to do rather than having a chit-chat with some kind of a stranger," he said, directly hitting me with his words.

I decided to cut of any nonsense and just tell him what I wanted. "I want you to help me." I gather all my courage just to say those six words.

"Pardon?" he asked

I took a deep breath before I speak once again, "I want you to help me." I made my voice even louder this time so he could clearly hear it.

I saw his eyebrows met each other. "Help?" he asked.
