MasukChapter 42
Jenna's POV
"You think a child through IVF is shameful? You don't deserve to be an Alpha if you think that way, Alpha Chris." He ground his molars. "I had a child through IVF. All my three children are through IVF because during a war, I was kidnapped and they tormented me brutally. They injected me with stuff that damaged my ability to have a child. Did I think it's over now? No. That's why there is IVF. Someone out there is willing to help donate their sperm so you can get your own baby."
"Alphas like you berate IVF procedure and don't want your wives getting pregnant through sperm donation. But when your wife is the one who can't bear a child, you proudly go to knock up an omega for surrogacy. Hypocrite much." A Luna pointed a finger at him.
More and more objected to Chris and his actions. I folded my hands and basked in it. He was growing pale and impatient at passing time. When Chris saw me enjoying his humiliation, he seethed, "You're enjoying this a lot, aren't you?"
"More than you can imagine."
"You're just jealous, Jenna. You couldn't get my child but she did. That's why you did this and what you did to my doctor. You're a jealous bìtch." A loud thunderous roar rolled off the room.
Before anyone could guess it, Jace was pinning Chris on the floor.
"You've humiliated my Luna enough. One more word and I will shred you to pieces." Jace clawed his face before he added, "This is for raising your voice in front of me."
I pulled Jace back. My cheeks heated up because he complied. Turning to me, he gave me an aggravated look, "He's calling you jealous. Why don't you just pop his bubble of misconception?"
"Yeah, right." I kissed his jaw to calm him down. Then I glanced at Sasha, whose shoulders stiffened when she saw me looking at her.
"Will you tell him the truth or I do?" Sasha mewled like a kitten as if I was oppressing her. "You know what, it's okay. I'll do it."
I rolled my eyes and faced everyone again, "What my ex-husband has been proudly bragging about is not true— he can't make a baby, period."
"But this woman here... She made him believe that he could. She was never ever in love with Chris. She only came back for his money."
"Stop slandering my Luna, Jenna. Your problem is with me." Chris hissed as he held a hand to his ruined face. His white shirt was crimson.
I sneered at his words, "Your Luna? Haha, she's not your Luna, Chris. She's a con artist. She and her real husband... They target wealthy men. Sasha gets close to them. She makes them believe they're the love of her life, and gains their trust, and then she slowly gets access to their wealth. And when there is nothing left to take, she disappears with her husband."
"Shut up. Don't lie. I know my woman. She loves me." Chris protested while Sasha stood there holding her belly.
"I guess I'll have to present a proof for you. Pluto, bring that man in." Pluto nodded and brought a battered man with no shine in his eyes.
Seeing him, Sasha's steps faltered, "P-paul?"
"Yes, me. Are you terrified to see me here?" Paul unleashed a smile that bordered on anger and agony.
"Paul tells everyone the truth." I said and he told everything he told me.
I ran into him in the NightShade Pack when I went with Chris to frame Henry. Paul was looking for me, the old Luna, to tell me the truth about Sasha. This is because he heard how I was accused of cheating and thrown out with my baby. So he wanted to help me claim my rights back and give my child the house and title he deserved.
I was perplexed because this was the biggest revelation. Sasha was playing with Chris for his money. Then a little more digging and I found out about her real husband, and the fact that she was carrying his child, not Chris.
She might have planned to marry Chris when she learned that he was not happy with my pregnancy. She played nice. But evil doesn't always win. Good prevails in spite of all the darkness.
"S-so you lied to me, Sasha?" Chris asked her, his voice tear-smothered.
"Hear the truth from her husband." Jace said as a soldier pushed a man on the floor in the middle of the room.
He was badly beaten. Sasha's silence crumbled as she gasped upon seeing him.
"Paul, darling. Oh no, no. Ohhh, they beat you so much. Ohhh." She cried, going on her knees beside him to hug him.
Paul got on his knees and joined his hands in front of me, "F-forgive us, Luna Queen. W-we were blinded by greed."
"Confess." I glared at him.
He wiped his eyes and nodded, "It's true. We... We truck wealthy men. I send my wife to them and we steal their wealth. Since Sasha sleeps with all of them, we use their pictures and sęx videos to threaten them. That's how we managed to get away all these years."
"A-arthur, the new bodyguard? He's your husband." Chris snapped enragedly.
Sasha cried against Paul's shoulder as she bobbed her head fearfully, "Y-yes. Paul is my real husband. Since you believed I was pregnant with your child and married me, I thought we should stop here. I was to stay with you as your Luna, hence I called Paul to come live with us."
"That's why you suggested I make him your bodyguard so you will get to stay together?!"
"Y-yes. That way I could be with my husband and our child without you knowing while we enjoyed your wealth." Sasha bit her lips.
An uneasy silence stretched into the room. Everyone was disconcerted. Only Jace and I were amazed and delighted. Chris was crying. He still bled because his emotions were jumbled, and his body couldn't heal itself. That didn't unsettle me either.
I felt a little bad, but the joy I was feeling was enough to shout for.
"That's the woman you rejected me for. The reason why you rejected my child, didn't you? Chris stumbled back at my tone. "When she told you she's pregnant, you were relieved and excited for your own child. You thought it's yours. You stopped caring about me even though I was pregnant first."
He avoided my gaze, causing me to gnash my teeth, "How does that make you feel now, hmm? Neither is the woman yours, nor the child. You got nothing."
I felt a lump in my throat. I was in that spot six months ago— no family, no emotional support, nothing. Just me with my pregnant belly.
'At least he doesn't have a pregnant belly.' Gianna snickered. 'He has a useless dïck.'
Her words made me snicker too. I turned to Jace, "I am done. I just wanted everyone to know the truth. Whatever you do with him.... It's your choice, Alpha King."
Jace nodded. He placed a kiss on my forehead. Then he told me to go to mom and dad, who were holding our son.
"You're very happy now, aren't you?" I tickled his waist.
"He was missing his dadda and grand-dadda, Jenna." Mom twisted her lips as Jared was playing with dad's hair.
"I can see. The devil was missing the men." I faked anger but deep within I admired how Jared was jumping and screaming joyfully in his grandfather's arms.
Their identical hair shimmered bright platinum in the lights. They both were odd ones out, including my husband. When I turned to him, I saw him holding Chris by the collar.

Chapter 58 Jace's POV We were silent for a long time. Neither of us spoke. Suddenly Jenna lifted her face and eyes me innocently."What?" I chuckled. She nodded in no, "You burned Liza alive."My face stilled. I pulled her closer and joined our foreheads, "I had to. She was the bane of our family."I kissed her."Also," I added. "She made me doubt my wife's intentions. I had to punish her."At that, she hugged me tighter and rested her face on my shoulder. She was sitting straddling my waist while I held her like my toddler baby.My back had healed. Hence, I was able to sit this way.The doctors had been worried because the wound wasn't healing in my state of unconsciousness. That's the reason why they refused to give any answer. But the second I woke up, the wound healed, and all the residue of wolfsbane and silver was eliminated by my immune system."What happened to Chris and that lady?" I suddenly asked as I remembered those two."Both dead. And that lady was Doctor Henry's daug
Chapter 57Jenna's POV 'Thanks, bro. Head towards the Rogues' territory with your team. I'll meet you there.''Roger that!''Okay.'We broke the link. I sucked a sharp breath as I focused on the road ahead. If I drive at high speed, I'll get there in twenty minutes.Jenna, hold on for a while, love. Your husband is coming to get you.(Twenty minutes later)"Jace, finally you're here." Oakley came running towards my car as I applied brakes."Did you find her location?" I was not even fully out of the car."Yes, and already stationed our soldiers around the area." Oakley said, sending a wave of relief through me."Thank, goddess.""Don't worry, Jace. The situation is already in our control." Oakley flashed a shark grin and my eyebrows cocked in confusion. "Chris's soldiers look novice. They are not attentive at all, let alone alert.""I think he brought untrained wolves here. And I must add that his Beta and Gamma are not here either."I acknowledged with a nod, "He's probably doing it
Chapter 56Jenna's POV Jace has never touched her before. He hadn't done it this time either. It's that bìtch who always found ways to go near him.'There's no point in giving yourself false hope, Jenna. Jace isn't the man we thought he was. Accept it.' Gianna said.A feeling of disappointment rose over me. No! My wolf is not right here. She's hurt from Jace's wolf's words, and rest is the impact of wolfsbane.Jace loves us.'You really think that? Then tell me, why didn't he come after us when we left?'he He might have a reason.'No,' Gianna grunted weakly. 'It's because he was bewitched by his mistress's beauty and he chose her instead.'That's not true. I was breathless in anger. Gianna's words struck a chord that it shouldn't have.'I'll prove it to you that Jace still only loves us.'Having that said, I lowered my guard. I had blocked out everyone and their feelings to avoid getting caught. However, as I lowered my guard, I could feel my family's emotions— Jace's first. He was
Chapter 55Jenna's POVI regained my senses at the feeling of stabbing spasms stretching throughout my body. My eyelids were heavy and so I couldn't drag them open. But my other senses were working well.I could hear and smell and feel my surroundings. The air was crackling with the chirping of thousands of crickets, meaning that I was most likely in a forest area; or where there were a lot of trees.I dragged in a deep breath to catch scents, and realized that wood was burning somewhere. Then I heard the noise of fire crackling. A bonfire. I subtly rubbed my hand on the ground and sensed the coarse texture. Soil. All the elements directed to one point, I was in a forest. My eyes felt better now. I was about to open them when, "Hadn't she woken up yet?" A familiar voice asked."No, Alpha Chris. After she turned into her human form while fainting, she's been just like that." Someone said,It wasn't Cleo's voice. Hmm. Perhaps Chris flew all the way to Silent Hills city with a small team
Chapter 54Jace's POV "Let this be a lesson to all those who think they can fool the Alpha King just because I trust them." I announced as I paced around with a flaming torch in my hand. Behind me a pyre was built in the middle of the city for people to watch. On it Liza was tied to a pole. She was drenched with petrol and shaking. Her eyes were red. She begged me to let her go, that she was honestly apologetic. That she acknowledged her blunder and would go away. "My trust has never been a weakness. My willingness to believe in those who stand beside me does not make me blind, nor does my kindness make me a fool. I give people my trust because I choose to see the good in them. Because I consider them my previous ones. But the moment that trust is betrayed, do not mistake my silence for ignorance. And don't ever think that you can outsmart me."I came to a halt. The flames were crackling beside my face. It was night now, the sky was dark with no stars. There were light poles around
