The man was taking this a bit too personally. “Painting, cooking class, archery, shooting…” She laughed out loud at the next activity scheduled for day fifteen. “Bungee jumping! Is he crazy?” He was definitely pulling her legs. Zander Scott belongs nowhere near any kind of jumping!

I understand that you want to set their emotion of longing for a change before you present the change, but this voids your chapter one, and gives your story a slow pace. I'm not saying that it would never ever work in a million years, but why use the readers' patience when you can lure them in with more effective content?
