The morning was bright and serene at Tiffany's family townhouse. Sunlight filtered through the large windows, casting a warm glow on the elegant furnishings. Furina was sitting with Tiffany in the spacious living room, sipping tea and discussing their plans to tackle the ongoing issues with the paparazzi and threats. It was a rare moment of peace in their otherwise chaotic lives. Suddenly, the doorbell rang. Tiffany looked up, a slight frown creasing her brow. "I wonder who that could be," she murmured, setting her cup down and rising to answer the door. Furina watched her go, curiosity piqued.

Tiffie stretched her arms and yawned. She smelled something delicious so she walked towards the kitchen. Bobby was already there wearing only his apron with the cupcake design. He’s holding a bowl while whisking the white icing. Then, his sexy hips followed the rhythm of the upbeat music. “Are you going to try and take my board again? “No, not until later,” I replied, blushing straight down to my toes. I wasn't going to let him get to me today, though. I was a strong, independent woman. Or at least I was going to pretend to be one. “I only tackle billionaires at night. I'm actually more of a morning person. I like sunrises, and long walks on the beach.” I didn't mean to quote one of his commercials, but there it was. I really needed to learn to think before I spoke sometimes.

She shifted closer, resting her head fully on his chest, feeling the steady thud of his heart under her cheek. "I'm sure. Kate..." Kai tightened his hold, pressing a kiss into her hair. "Sleep, Love. My words died in my throat as she closed the space between us in a single, smooth motion, her hips settling firmly onto my lap despite the desk pressing into my knees. Before I could even tense or push her away, her lips crashed against mine, hard and unyielding, leaving no room for protest. The kiss was sudden and overwhelming; her hands tangled in my hair, holding me in place as her mouth moved against mine with relentless urgency.

“Morning, Tiffany. I didn’t know you were in the city.” She shrugged. “I got in during the weekend. Paris is wonderful this time of the year, you should go. By the way, I got your wedding photos – they were nice. You should get one for your desk; it’s only proper.” She took off her sunglasses, placed them on the edge of my table, and then blinked at me. “You look tired. You should sleep more. Do you know how much sleep can affect your skin?” “I do. I read the articles you sent me.”

Early the next morning, Tiffany groggily switched off her alarm just as another message came in. She grabbed her phone and squinted at the screen. It was from Raymond, just two words. Raymond: [You awake?] She flipped the phone facedown on the pillow and closed her eyes again, but her drowsiness had already faded, and her hazy thoughts gradually cleared. After she got home the night before, she had stood in front of the bathroom mirror for a long time, staring at her reddened lips as she thought about that kiss in the garage.

She asks me, and I groan before running my hands through my hair. “Todd and I kissed last night, Rosa. It was a dare.” I say quickly. Rosalie’s eyes widen, and so does her smile. She looks like she has been handed a million dollars. “Ohhhh.” She coos, coming closer to me, but my mind is busy with a lot of calculations. “He’s probably at the diner now, which gives him about twenty minutes to get here.
