She was afraid that he was a bad person who wanted to kidnap her because of her stepfather's status as a very dangerous military chief. But Diana's wild thoughts disappeared when the man introduced himself.... "I'm Darren, that's my name." Darren? Annabelle's friend? Diana had never known. "I'm the boy who caught you crying in the restroom when your mom scolded you," he said again. Dana immediately shut her mouth. She finally remembered! Darren, the son of Alpha Adam who currently leads Pack Kyne. Diana still didn't think they would meet again. Especially after not meeting for a long time, she didn't recognize his face.

Slowly, he brought his hand up to the small of her back, then brought her closer to him possessively, a small sinister smile spreading his lips. Zane let out a deep breath and without a word walked away, his fists clenched tightly. Andrew's smirk grew bigger and he turned, so he was properly hugging her now. His eyes closed, his body relaxing into her warmth, yet his mind far off.

Zane uttered smugly as he sat down in the chair opposite her desk, promptly perching his expensive shoes on top. “What the hell do you know about “these things” anyway, Smith?” She retorted as she shoved his feet off the end of her desk. Zane Smith was a fixer, Reaperr’s fixer, and he was as dangerous as a live grenade. In any other situation, London would have tip-toed around him, giving him a wide birth to do his bidding, but, she could feel the noose around her neck, and this time, not in a good way.

Honestly, I am starting to feel like my admission in the scholar’s class is cheating. I can only smile and give Anasthasia a smile of appreciation. “Thanks.” The crowd suddenly gasped, making me look back to the student who was showcasing his talent. Fire swirls around him, encasing a certain perimeter around him like a flaming serpent. Getting to control flame affinities like that, he is not only showing his ability, but also his unbreakable focus. I believe that this man's name is Andrew Zane. His family is also from a great line of hunters, right next to ours. That being said, I often notice him looking in my direction whenever I decide to train on campus.

Melissa’s POV “It’s Hunter,” Zane says, his tone unreadable as he gets back from the desk to ask the one being visited by Andrew. “Apparently his head was hit on marble pretty hard and he’s completely passed out. Andrew is still debating whether to not to spend money on him to get him out of a coma.” I rest back down on my bed, watching Zane sit down on the chair next to me. He doesn’t hold my hand. It feels like his thoughts are moving far away from him. Far away from me.

Hunter: The clearing was quiet, clean even. And that was the worse part. It was too clean for a place where we had lost our men. They were two of our best warriors. And for them to be laying on the ground, dead, like they were… I couldn’t process it. There was no scent trail. No prints. Just stillness and the faint metallic tang of death. I pinched the bridge of my nose as I tried to make sense of it, but nothing clicked…

“Hi, Miss Moner.” Isabelle flinched as she heard a deep-throated groan behind her. She turned slowly and faced Andrew, who stood by the door, his shoulder leaning on the frame. He licked his lips as he tucked his hands in his slacks pockets. His dark grey eyes complemented his flowing smoky black hair. He wore a white T-shirt which seemed to be too tight around his large biceps and toned chest. . She stood there timid in her black sweatpants and hoodie, with the hood covering a part of her face. Only her parted lips could be seen by Andrew.

I said, my heart overflowing with love for the man whom I had initially considered an enemy. The warm night air enveloped us as Dane pulled me close, his arms secured around me. We lay there, gazing up at the endless expanse of stars twinkling above us. The sky was a deep navy blue, studded with pinpricks of light that seemed to dance and flicker in the darkness.

It's telling me that there is something unusual about the auras these men emit. “ Yeah, it's her,” Santino voice is flat. He fixes me with a bored look. “ She must be brave if she thinks she can murder a dragon with a fork.” The rugged one laughs, and my eyes shoot back to him. He putts a large cigar to his lips, he takes a drag and the tip of glows orange as a thin plume of smock rises. He removes the cigar from his lips and puffs out some smock. The act makes him look so fucking sexy in all his muscle glory standing there.

All of our heads snapped to see who had spoken. Zain stood on the bottom of the stairs, and he was openly glaring at all of us. When he looked at me he threw me a look of disgust which hurt but I brushed it off. "And why the hell not?" I could tell that Aaron had enough with his dad and his anger got the best of him. "Show some respect, Aaron," Katherine descended the stairs and stood next to Zain. "But Mom—," Aaron tried to argue but Katherine lifted her hand, stopping him from talking.
