"You know how precious you are to me right Angel?" He said cupping my face and gently placing a kiss on my temple. We just stood there gazing at each other's face. I was taking in his features. His angular olive eyes, sharp pointy nose, thin pink lips and that perfect scar right above his eyes and that is my favorite part.

Angel's Point Of View I woke up with a terrible headache. I groaned and snuggled more in the pillow which was radiating warmth all around me. Wait, what? I opened my eyes and saw a neck in front of me. Arms were wrapped around me and my face was buried in the neck of someone. I pulled away slightly and saw that it was Ace. I relaxed a bit and let my head fall back on his chest. I felt safe in his arms. I groaned and pulled away slowly, not wanting to wake him up. My head was throbbing and I closed my eyes at the unbearable pain. I shouldn't have drank that much. I stared at Ace and smiled when I realized how peaceful and angelic he looked.

His eyes are locked on mine. "You want me to drink from you?" His voice is laced with mockery now. "Are you that desperate to die, Angel?" My stomach drops. He leans forward suddenly, the bottle dangling loosely between his fingers. "I've wanted to die for years," he says, his words soft, but they pierce deep into my soul. "I tried everything. Pills. Glancing back at the door, I felt the urge to back away, but I stayed back. Gulping hard, I reached for the book; it almost dropped off my hand due to its heaviness. I sat on one of the chairs and opened it. The first page had me reeling in shock. It was a history book of the generations that existed centuries before. From the first page, I was glued to the introduction of all the varying beings and their respective strengths. My eyes rounded like saucers when I saw the page about angels. I thought they were a myth, but I am reading about their existence on Earth. Each creature has a birthmark, and I was shocked to see the same mark as the one on my lower belly behind me. Wings.

He pressed his lips to mine before speaking, “it’s the angel blood.” Excuse me, what? “What does that mean?” I asked him. He grabbed my hand, led me to his study and sat me down on a chair. He reached on a bookshelf and pulled down an old leather bound book. He opened it up to a bookmarked page and showed it to me. This page was all about angels! What stood out to me though was that angels were attracted to strong, dominant men who would produce the best offspring. The stronger the offspring would be, the harder it would be to resist. I looked at him incredulously.
