Dunia metaverse dikendalikan oleh Paraduta, mengakibatkan dunia nyata juga masuk kedalam kendali mereka. Metaverse dipimpin oleh seorang Adhiraj. Osiris adalah Adhiraj pada masa Arun, ia juga adalah sepupunya Arun. Arun bisa dibilang termasuk kedalam elit bangsawan. Akan tetapi, Arun tidak suka itu semua. Arun memilih hidup bebas dibandingkan berbaur dengan elit-elit kaku tersebut. Arun suka bermain balapan liar di metaverse dan berteman dengan Gurem, julukan rakyat jelata di Metaverse. Kehipan Arun berjalan biasa saja, walaupun kadang ada naik turunnya tetapi secara keseluruhan, kehidupannya berada ditingkat yang hampir membosankan. Sampai suatu ketika, terjadi booming Bugs di Metaverse. Pasukan Penjaaga Keamanan Metaverse (PPKM) bekerja siang dan malam hampir tiada henti untuk memusnahkan Bugs yang mengganggu kehidupan di Metaverse. Kalau hanya itu saja kejadian yang menimpa Metaverse, pasti Arun akan tetap santai-santai seakan tidak terjadi apa-apa, soalnya hal seperti sudah biasa terjadi di Metaverse. Tapi kali ini berbeda, Arun dituduh bersekutu dengan dalang dibalik New Bugs ini. Arun yang hidupnya biasa saja tiba-tiba menjadi roller coaster, gali lubang tutup lubang untuk menutupi kebohongannya agar alibinya bisa dipercaya.
