He was the village leader, Benji. Benji had a face that was very similar to Bowen in the younger version. His hair was the same golden as Bowen's, and his eyes were the same blue color as Bowen's. The difference was Bowen let his hair loose and braided his beard. Meanwhile, Benji chose to braid his hair and let his beard loose. “Big brother? Bowen? Is that you?" asked Benji, his eyes widened. “Village leader, don't come near that monster! It is dangerous! We don't know who he is!" exclaimed the Dwarves warningly.

Silver accessories were looped around his pinched waist as a maid helped him buckle his shoes. A low grumble settled in Benji's stomach because the human knew his mate was responsible for this choice of clothing. He was then told to sit down on the chair in front of the dressing table that held a large vanity mirror. Benji watched how his hair was dried and oils were added before his hair was trimmed and styled in a butterfly haircut. His hair was very soft making the style fluffy on his head. A small shiny nose stud was placed on the right side of his nose. Where was Vincent anyway? Benji thought to himself. He hadn't seen the man since he left his cell in the morning.

Dom’s POV “What do you got?” I asked Benji as I walked through his study. It was a mess of unorganized books and smelt of dust. He had a few notepads in front of him with words scribbled all over them. Looking up at me with a bright smile, he started. “Ooooh, I found something alright.” He quickly fumbled through the mess of books and pulled one up. “Look here!” He flipped through the pages until he landed on whatever he was looking for.

Charlie Benji’s house wasn’t really what I expected. Although I didn’t really know what to expect. He had an unreadable air about him when it came to trying to figure out the more personal details about his life. He didn’t behave like a street racer or conform to what my idea was of a man who spent his time participating in an illegal underground racing ring in New York City. He ran a shelter for troubled youths for crying out loud.

I whisked burgundy hair strands from my face, “Same as usual.” Heidi and Isaac pass us with giggles, hugging lovingly. The newly mated couple that I found myself envying. Someday, I will have that and I wish that it would have been today. Jocks, cheerleaders, and a few others greeted us as we broke the left corner. “Hey ladies,” Benji blocked our path with his well-built six feet height. He unplugged his earphones and tucked ash-brown hair behind his ear. He observantly asked with squinting toffee-brown eyes, “Why the sad faces?”

“I swear, I have three children at times. She practically lives here if she isn’t at the Pack hospital or university.” With both plates in hand, I reach the opened door of my loft and find my best friend, Benjamina, aka Benji sitting crossed leg in the middle of my bed with a medical book open in her lap and her laptop propped up on my pillows with a video of what looks like a butthole with a tube up it? GROSS! “BENJI! For goddess’ sakes, what are you watching?!”

She entered this world for easy money, but it only made her situation worse. “No,” Benji replied, “I miss Piper. I have all the games to play, comics to read, movies and anime to watch here – but I don’t have anyone to talk to. Mr. Kai doesn’t talk. I miss Piper’s chocolate shakes too. Oh, and I miss it when Benji is sad, and Piper hugs him. Benji doesn’t like anyone else’s hugs – only Pipers.” Benji replied much to Piper’s relief. She was so scared to hear him answer, but his reply faded all these worries.

Benji reasons, surprising me that he would defend Charlie’s behaviour. “I just don't want you to think that I agree with what he was saying,” I tell him and he smiles warmly at me. “Nortica, you don't need to apologise for anyone else in this world. Their behaviour isn't your responsibility,” he assures me. “Well, not that I do think that you came here to…you know…but why are you here?” I can't help myself from asking. Benji is attractive with his golden blonde hair, piercing blue eyes and tanned skin but he's not what I want.

I laugh, tugging my hair out from the neck of the sweatshirt and running a hand through it. He shakes his head, his eyes sparkling gold. “Nah, it’s sexy as fuck.” Heat crawls up my neck, my cheeks flushing. “Whatever.” I nod toward Benji. “Show him where you want the tat, Romeo.” Chase leans back, turning over his right arm and slapping the spot beneath his elbow on the inside of his forearm. “Right here.” Benji glances over his shoulder to see where he’s indicating, then nods, beckoning me back over to check out his sketch. I return to him eagerly, peering over his shoulder at the drawing in front of him, my lips sliding into a grin.

He was leaning on the black SUV, wearing a black leather jacket, black V-neck shirt and black jeans, leaving his long hair falling to his side. He simply looked displeased with the idea that Cameron would be coming too. But then again Benjamin is always displeased, almost at everything.
