Dirty Deals With The Devil

Dirty Deals With The Devil

He really was good at Calculus, not that I was going to tell him that anytime soon though. I stuffed the folder into my bag as well and with a shrug, I stuffed my ancient copy of Cyanide by Ludwig Singer along with it. It was my favorite book in the whole world, I had had it since I was fourteen and I had this belief it brought me luck and the good Lord knew I needed all the luck in this world to scale the next fourteen days. 6:12AM. I still had time to kill, literally I wish I could kill time. It'd be nice to be able to control time, to switch the hands of the clock forward and backwards at will. To go back to correct some mistakes, to experience some things once again.

Alpha Rafael: Chasing My Ex Wife

Alpha Rafael: Chasing My Ex Wife

"And then-then-after the amusement park, we go to the bookstore! The best place in the whole entire galaxy!" Ava raises a brow. "Better than the amusement park?" "Duh," he says, eyes wide with pure seriousness. "Amusement parks are fun, but bookstores are epic. They smell like paper and secrets, and sometimes you find books that make you smarter than your teacher." I glance at him. "Really?" He nods, dead serious. "One time I read a book about time travel, and I knew what a paradox was. Miss Callie didn't even see it coming."

This is really a good story. While I do enjoy a good revenge story, I also think Raphael should have directed it towards the real culprit Linda instead of targeting Lila. I expected her wolf to be more of her defender rather than telling her to submit to him. Maybe that will change the more I read

Highly recommend this book! Why? Because it has everything I love A feisty, strong-willed heroine who refuses to stay down, and a ruthless alpha hell-bent on revenge. The chemistry, the tension? Chef's kiss. I’m absolutely in love with this story. Lila doesn’t stay weak. I adore her so much.

Tale Through Time

Tale Through Time

After doing that, he called for the flight attendant to get them some food for lunch, he couldn't sleep so he decided to read a book. Cassiopeia gave that book to him for his birthday, he doesn't get why would she give him a book when he doesn't like reading, but then she told him she likes the book and was hopeful that he would take interest in reading. And he did. He opened the book to give it a try, he was surprised he found himself so hooked up on the book that he even brought it up to their trip. He was in the middle of reading when Cassiopeia woke up, "hey, I already asked for food. Would you like to eat lunch now?" Alexander asked closing the book.

The Boy who Circled Time

The Boy who Circled Time

I know that it may sound a little unbelievable and a little unfair, but to properly understand and classify all of this, then a different system of measuring time, a method that is inherently non-chronological, is ncessary. It's the individual biographies and autobiographies of individuals, mapped onto a graph of age on the x axis, and the actual chronological flow of time on y axis, that I find the easiest to map out the journies time travellers. It has obvious drawbacks, yes, because all things of this kind do, but it works well enough for me to explain things.

Secrets of Time

Secrets of Time

We just have to be connected to some elites in the past or even make friends with them because all elites and royalties in the past have these things and that's not forbidden unlike now where they're obviously afraid for us to use time machines. And I know I've mentioned what part we'll go to. It's the year 3079 after the war in the past which caused humanity and fairness to be gone. It's much safer than going to the future. Do you know why? Because we know nothing about what the future will be and how it will treat us. We don't know if it'll be worse or if it'll be better. We can even lose our life there if the Vasileìas still exists and are still reigning the world but in the past, we've r

My Time-Traveling Savior

My Time-Traveling Savior

She asked cheerfully. "Evan Lynch." Over the next few days, Hannah and I actively tried to figure out the rules of this time-space distortion phenomenon. But the more we investigated, the more confused we became. Sometimes, something placed in one spot would disappear the next second, but if we put something in the exact same place again, nothing would happen. This time-space distortion seemed completely random. It appeared without warning, and the size of the objects it transferred was random too. But there were still some patterns.

Somewhere over the Rainbow

Somewhere over the Rainbow

And I don’t think she’s at peace with us being romantically over, that I’ve found another love … had found … I lean back on the hard, wooden chairs of the library. My eyes tingle from the constant reading of fine print in dusty books. Surely there must be something to be found somewhere about why time travel is really possible, and how it works when you try to change something in the past. So many writers have written about time travel, so many philosophers have contemplated it, even scientists have looked into it. There must be at least a grain of truth in it, right? I also run into all kinds of conspiracy theories in my research: that the Twin Towers fell by the FBI, that JFK was killed by

Lost to Time

Lost to Time

It is valid from my perspective. "I'm sorry you were ripped from your family Jessa. After this war, I will see if I can get you home to visit them. If you would like," Braxius offers. Kissing Braxius on his cheek, I sadly say. "They are no longer here, Braxius. I'm the only one left." In this time. "I'm truly sorry, Jessa," Braxius says sincerely. "I will see them again," I tell him confidently. I hope I can someday get back to my own time. But for now, I'm content to be with this man for a short while.

Time travel as a genre can be intimidating because the concepts get so convoluted, but a few books manage to be both clever and accessible. Connie Willis's 'To Say Nothing of the Dog' is my top pick for a beginner. It's a comedic mystery set in her Oxford time-travel universe, but you don't need to read the darker 'Doomsday Book' first. The rules are clear, the plot is a delightfully confusing romp through the Victorian era, and it focuses more on character chaos than temporal physics. Another one that just pulls you in is 'The Time Traveler's Wife'. Sure, it’s a love story first, but the non-linear structure makes the time travel feel emotional rather than technical. You experience the disorientation right alongside the characters without needing a diagram. For something more recent, 'Recursion' by Blake Crouch is practically a thriller with time-adjacent ideas. It moves so fast and explains its 'false memory' conceit through action, so you’re never bogged down in theory. Stephen King’s '11/22/63' is also surprisingly straightforward for a doorstop of a book; the single, clear mission—stop the JFK assassination—provides a strong anchor. Starting with books where the mechanics serve the human story rather than dominate it really eases you in.

I’d avoid the classics like 'The Time Machine' or 'Slaughterhouse-Five' as true starters. They're brilliant, but their abstract or allegorical use of time can be confusing if you're looking to understand common tropes. A beginner-friendly book should make you think 'this is fun' before it makes you think 'this is confusing.'
