The walls look fresh and new, and the orange lights illuminating the entire place are soft and not too bright. Also, everywhere inside smells like grilled bacon mixed with the scent of crispy fries. And I love how it tickles and wraps around my senses. After we settle into one of the empty booths near the door entrance, Dante and Crystal pick up two menus from the four diner menus placed on the table. I pick up one of the remaining menus, my eyes scanning through the options immediately. "I think I'll go for the bacon cheeseburger and fries,” Crystal says, making her pick. “Me too.” Dante adds, keeping the menu in his hand down on the table. “How about you, Diane?”

“What will you have?” “I talked to Leslie McBrian,” I said, hiking my thumb over my shoulder towards the door. “She told me that you could get some food here?” “I have the day’s special, it’s a stew with vegetables and lamb,” he answered tiredly, like he was the most depressed person on the planet. “Then I’ll have that,” I answered, trying to give him a small smile. “Can you recommend something to drink that goes with it?” He sighed, making the cigarette ash onto the floor. “We have beer or soda.”

They sat in a booth by the window.

A monolith of a man with black hair and a beard is already seated there with a tray in front of him. “You can sit with me today though, or you’ll end up alone. Since there’s an extra table, we’ve spread out a little more over the summer.” Liam leads me to the service hatches and hands me a tray. The food looks and smells amazing. “Hot protein here, veg and carbs in the middle, cold protein and salad over there, and dessert’s in the last one,” he explains, pointing. Seems simple enough. “There’s plenty to go around, so don’t worry. And it’s always really good.” He grins again and hands me a plate stacked with a massive steak, then grabs one for himself.

"I will take the Double Bacon Mushroom Burger, rare, with a side of steak fries and a side of Ranch please." Becky was just about to leave when I remember the guys outside. "Oh, Becky, I almost forgot that I am going to need thirty burgers sent outside to the Black SUV's outside please." Her eyes widen in shock, but she nods and eagerly jots down the new order. "Absolutely, will there be anything else?" I handed her the paper. "Please give this to the red head at the table in the middle of the diner. Give it to her when we leave please."

’ I say, keeping a subtle eye on the cook. Dean leans back and stretches out his arms, cracking his neck and casually looking around simultaneously before turning back to me. "Nice place here." He says out loud while linking. ‘I can’t smell or see cheesecake, so congrats Alpha.’ He flashes me a quick grin before picking the menu back up. ‘I think bear. I had a run-in with one once, and from the looks of him, he seems like one. Even in human form, those guys are big.’ He says, not taking his eyes off the menu.

With clouds in the background and overlooking city lights, it's a beautiful place for lunch. "Woah! This looks expensive!" She made me laugh again. I thought she'll be telling me that this place will be awesome instead of saying it's expensive. She never failed to amuse me though. We sat and ordered, "Broiled lobster, crispy calamari, coconut shrimp, four mac n cheese." I asked her while showing her the menu, "Is it enough or should I order more?" She looked at the menu and pointed. "The Tomahawk steak?" She nodded.

Lacey thought, knowing she needed to work off some steam. The black bear rose on its hind legs and growled loudly again, staking its claim on the territory. However, when Lacey rose to her feet, revealing her massive size, the bear turned and started to run... but Lacey was faster. In two bounds, Lacey tackled the bear to the ground and sank her teeth into its neck, snapping it at the same time, not wanting to cause the bear any more pain than necessary. She angrily tore off slabs of steaming, hot meat until she had eaten her fill, and then left the rest for the other predators of the forest to finish off.

The grilled chicken breast is good, too. Some regular customers recommend the beet and goat-cheese salad.” “Oh, I hate beets,” I say, making a face at Liam. I turn back to the waiter with a grin. “I’ll have the steak, thank you.” “Can’t stand beets? Me too,” Liam laughs, his eyes crinkling. “We truly are siblings.”
